Honor: regard with great respect. In my words honor is how we respect others, people and traditions that we believe in. Honor is a way that we will often judge if someone is good or not, but maybe we should look at some other things about the person before we judge if they are honorable or not.

It can be difficult to sometimes do what we need to do over what we want to do. If we do what we hunger instead of doing our responsibilities it can make you seem immature or irresponsible. According to the Merriam Webster, honor means- a showing of usually merited respect: recognition. To be even known as a hero, the person has to earn that title by usually doing what they devise to do over what they want to. The code of honor is when you have a set or either moral or religion principles that you don’t try to break. The heroes of Ancient Mesopotamia, India, and Israel, each honor their moral principles even when they are faced with adversity.

The definition of the word honor is high respect for someone. My definition of honor is someone who did something very important and should be respected.

Honor is defined as esteem paid to worth and is associated with reverence, dignity, distinction, reputation, and a good sense of what is right, just, and true. The key part to honor is having respect for others and for yourself, the two must act together because without both one has nothing. Honor is defined by the Oxford English Dictionary as high respect or esteem. The concept of honor dates back to the peaceful samurai of feudal Japan and the chivalrous knights of medieval Europe. A samurai or a knight would either honor or dishonor himself and his family based on his actions in battle. Their motivation to be honorable focused more on the individual and their family and less on their kingdom. First thing is what the word honor means. The word honor means to have respect or a high esteem for someone or something. It also means to have a certain privilege gained or accessed when you have done a good deed or when you have earned it. Honor is also used in the Bible a lot, in that term it is used in respect for yourself and for God.

According to the dictionary, honor means respect that is given to someone who is admired. To me honor means that you show respect for someone else’s accomplishments. It means that you show your gratitude towards that person's accomplishment. Showing honor to someone means you are actually proud and respect what they have done.

Honor. By dictionary definition the word honor means “high respect”1 but this definition does not even begin to give justice to the word. Honor is so much more than simply high respect; Honor is having integrity and doing what is right. It is keeping your promises. Honor is about showing respect to those who have passed away and performing selfless acts. A person’s definition of honor may consist of all these things and it also may consist of many other elements. Honors significance to a person is based on multiple different things including conformity, a person’s age and what there American dream is.

There are a lot of definitions of honor, but the most common one is someone or something with high respect. My view of honor is someone doing the right thing when no one is looking even though it may be hard to do.

The word honor holds a very deep meaning. It is a very important word to me.

Honor can be used to describe a person in either a hopeful or negative standpoint, take if they are very honorable that means trustworthy and reliable. If a person has a low sense of honor, however, the opposite is true. Honor is the way that people perceive it and the actions of others make them to be seen as honorable, as “people trust the information you are providing and the actions you are taking” (Gibson). Having trust as a bond from others lasts lifetimes, just getting there is the hard part. It defines who someone is, acting like a guiding light for individual growth

Honor means high respect or esteem. To me honor means that you respect a person and that you are proud of that person. Nikola Tesla was a serbian-American engineer and physicist. He was very well known and honored for his dozens of breakthroughs in production, transmission and application of electric power. Tesla was born in 1856 in Smiljan, Croatia. His father was a priest was in the serbian orthodox church. His mother managed the family farm. In 1863 Tesla’s brother was killed in a riding accident. The exact definition of honor is honesty, fairness, or integrity in one’s beliefs and actions. What honor means to me in the school environment is being respectful and honest with your teachers and fellow students. Ways that I feel that you can show honor is by not cheating on tests or assignments, always doing what the teacher asks without an argument, and the way you act and behave with extracurricular activities.

The word Honor is defined in the dictionary to mean high respect; esteem. My definition of honor is a role model that I have high respect for because of the way he or she conducts their life. Leonardo Pisano, better known as Fibonacci, as he got older, was born in 1170 in Pisa which is a city in Italy. He was the son of Guilielmo and Alessandra Pisano. His mother, Alessandra, past away when he was only nine. With Fibonacci’s mother dead and being an only child, he followed wherever his father went. They spent time traveling between North Africa and Italy. Fibonacci had no formal education. He received his education through his travels.
