In the Romano Pitesti case, Tickton-Jones’ Management Team is faced with a situation that is not altogether uncommon in the business world, in that some employees feel that members of the Sales staff are being given “special” treatment by the company. Romano’s actions have probably not been as bad as what has been described to Management, but due to the fact that employees are still trying to find their place in the new, combined company, any hint of “unfairness” is immediately put under a microscope by other employees, and therefore, Management will have to take some sort of action, in order to show the other employees that their concerns are being taken seriously. In this particular instance, employee awareness of how others may or …show more content…
None of the complaints, which include the color of his car to the way he parks his car to what time he starts and leaves work, are particularly serious, and all of the charges were easily explained by Mr. Pitesti. Most of the charges are indicative of petty interoffice jealousies, and would seem to reflect more negatively on the person or group of people who are doing the complaining than on Romano Pitesti himself.
Romano had worked for Samuel Jones prior to the merger of Jones and Tickton, where it seems as though his actions were accepted, if not encouraged, provided it meant bringing in more business for the company. With his proven sales record both at Samuel Jones, and now with Tickton-Jones, it is difficult for his superior, David Courtney, to reprimand him. That being said, it is our opinion that allowing Romano to continue to bend these rules will only lead to larger issues for Tickton-Jones in the future. Justified or not, Romano has already garnered a good deal of negative attention from at least a few of his co-workers which must be addressed sooner rather than later. Management should therefore take steps to ensure that Romano is treated the same as any other member of the sales force. We would recommend that Management handle the “Romano Pitesti Situation” with a three pronged approach. Our first recommendation regarding the handling of the criticisms being levied at Romano would be to sit down and clearly go

When thinking of New York City, more often than not, the first things one visualizes is the beautiful skyline, the bright lights, and Times Square. But without a second glance, one might miss one of the important things about the city. New York is the most heavily Dominican populated city in the United States. It’s ironic that the first non-native American to migrate to and reside on what is today New York City, was from Santo Domingo, the capital city of the Dominican Republic. Throughout history, Dominicans have migrated to the US in search of economic opportunity. This is the factor that influences nearly every immigrant group that migrates to the US in history. In the early 1900s, The United States and the Dominican Republic had a very close diplomatic relationship, to the point where the President considered annexation. At one point, the United States completely controlled the Sugar industry, one of the country’s most profitable markets.
One of the most speculative experiences of conquest and dictatorship in the history of Latin America has been the socialist and dictatorial regimes in Chile. Chile has gone through multiple times of dictatorship, lead by the military, and also had lapses of a socialist government. The film “Machuca” by Andres Wood provided an insight of the series of social events in Chile in 1973, ranging from inter personal experiences to political issues and the Chilean nation. “Two dictators, Salvador Allende and Augusto Pinochet, both brought tremendous suffering upon the Chilean people -- one through his socialist policies and nationalization of

He was a master at such necessities of modern art such as depth and perspective and the use of light and shadow, and was the turning point styles of paintings like the use of Madonnas in paintings. Through his short life, Raphael would make some of the most awe-inspiring, beautiful, and influential works of art during the Italian Renaissance.
Sports are a form of unity all over the world. It doesn’t matter what sport you play or watch but when rooting for or against a team most always have that jaw dropping, heart skipping sensation wishing for a team to win or sometimes even loose. Growing up in a Hispanic family sports play a big part of my families life, more predominantly on Sundays. The whole family gets together for carne asadas to watch soccer, football, baseball, golf, any type of sport playing at that moment on TV and we all bet each other to see who will win. The best feeling for me is when a Latino or Latina play a sport because it gives me so much pride knowing that someone from my country is representing the country I live in now but they have a similar root behind

His father did not care because it was a bike. Just from the beginning of the film you could tell Bruno was more detailed ordained then his father was. On the first day of work Antonio was putting up a sign and some thief stole his bike. Antonio went to report his bike stolen to the officials of the city. THe observation of Antonio and Bruno seems kind and that they love one another but the
McRae started with Iggy’s as a consultant less than a year prior to him deciding to bring in an organizational consultant when he failed to resolve his communication issues with the Ivanovics. This option itself was suspect and I personally would not have trusted McRae’s choice of consultant since I would have already felt some hesitation about McRae’s hiring competence that he had made thus far. The number one essential ingredient to all relationships is trust and although the Ivanovics perhaps gave that trust blindly to McRae, I feel that he not only abused his responsibility to them and their company, I feel that he did not return any faith.
Cardullo’s unprofessional vulgar tirades he imposes on employees in board meetings are inexcusable. In the supplemental reading “The Necessary Art of Persuasion” it is noted that gone are the days where you could yell and scream at your employees to illicit production, this further demonstrates Cardullo’s communication failings.
1) How should Matulovic respond to his fellow executives who are calling to ask him for special treatment outside the new priority management system?
When Ida and Urbano Fellini bore their first son, Federico, they must have known that he would be far from a calm easygoing person. On the evening of January 20, 1940, the weather at the seaside resort of Rimini on the Adriatic coast of Italy, was not pleasant. There was thunder, lightning, high seas, winds, and heavy rains; quite a setting for the entrance of one who was to be regarded as one of the greatest film directors in history.
Bob fashioned a management team based on trust and openness. He wanted his managers to be committed to eliminating hostilities that lingered between the stamping and components operations within the plant as well as between hourly and salary employees. He was also looking for people who would support his informal and highly participative management style and who would work to increase the level of involvement among Parma?s hourly employees. Bob was successful in keeping weekly floor board meetings so that union officials and superintendents discussed plant floor issues and by doing so, engaged them as active and productive in decision making. He also kept biweekly meetings with his staff and the Shop Committee chairman, the president of Local 1005, the Shop Committee members to continue and keep a high level of team work, communication, decision making and as a vehicle of power for this group to exercise change at Parma.
