During my time here at CSN I’ve had a few extenuating circumstances arise while in school which took away from my performance in my classes causing me to either fail or withdraw out of courses and eventually be placed on SAP suspension. My mother was a single parent for a number of years and once I graduated from High School she asked of me to assist with bills in the home since I still resided with her, so I began working for Moneytree which to my surprise was very time demanding and at the time I was without reliable transportation and a manager who was not very flexible with my school schedule. Then in 2010 my family and I became homeless for some time due to the recession which caused my sister to lose her job in 2008, and then my mother in 2010. This left me as the sole provider for my family since I was the only one working full-time with the ability to work additional hours if needed due to the demand of my employer at the time, and my position within the company. Then in 2013 my father who resided in Illinois was diagnosed with Bladder cancer which led to me traveling to

The authors of “Why ERP?: A Primer On SAP Implementation” discussed the reasons of the successful installation in one facility and the failure in other. Regardless of the nature of the business SAP R/3 has been successful in many organizations such as Ohio plant. The system works very well in organizations that have multiple locations of operations, in” firms for which the change costs are small and in plants which require low flexibility and high centralization (Jacobs & Whybark, 2000, p.126). In contrast, there are many reasons that SAP R/3 might not be successful. SAP R/3 is not appropriate in firms with low turnover and low profitability. Additionally, in some companies manufacturing customized products, SAP R/3 are not appropriate. For instance, the Ohio and North Carolina products are not the same; Ohio’s is in mass production while the other manufactures customized products.
The IT staffs were certain that the existing SAP software will provide all necessary computer support. They believed that even if the SAP would not fit their business processes precisely, it may be an investment that provides greater long-term flexibility and better solutions to the company’s problem.
c. To manage sales and inventory, UA recently adopted a new SAP system which will make future product expansion easier.
The game is usually played in three rounds, each consisting of 20 days. At the end of each round, each team’s financial results along with its standing are posted, which allows adjustments in strategies in each of the functional areas such as marketing or sales. During each round, any team can also adjust its business strategies based on financial results available at the end of each simulated day.
