It wasn’t like any other swim practice, no, not like any other I’d ever gone to. No one usually moved to Minot, North Dakota that was also in swimming, so when Emily Pitcher and her family moved to town and came to practice, it was quite a shock for everyone on the team. Have you ever loved one thing so much that you just can’t stop thinking about it? Well, running was that “thing” for 16-year-old track star Jessica Carlisle. She lived, breathed, and ate running every single day up until the accident. For my project I was given the opportunity to interview Kristen Samp, a former member of the LPGA tour and former Head professional at Lawrence Country Club. Samp started her career off playing golf as an amateur and was able to take her skills to play in college. While attending college, where she earned a degree in English and Philosophy, she continued to play golf which helped her gain confidence to take her game to the next level, the LPGA. While on tour, Samp played in 40 events over the course of four years (Fox Sports). After a stint on the LPGA tour, she translated her knowledge and experience in golf to an Assistant professional job at Lawrence Country Club. Once there she worked as an assistant professional before given the opportunity

It wasn't until Ashley pointed out a light down the road did we start to notice the sound of barking. I was so nervous that it was a guard dog to notice Abby escaping my grip. She was running to the light, hollering at the top of her lungs, 'puppy'.

Dakota your profiles is one of my favorites. I love how instead of interviewing a worker you interviewed your mom. No one would truly be able to give your story that special touch it needed other than your mom. Being able to get insight from someone who was really close to what was going on really brings your story to life. One comment I have would be to maybe talk about a specific memory that you will always remember. On a different note, my family loves disney world too! We are actually going over christmas break. No matter how many times we go the fun is always still there. I also know what you mean when you said "some of our biggest family fights, waiting in lines over three hours long, and spending countless amounts of money on overpriced

Samantha was referred to our TSS program to recover from heroin. Our program aims to help individuals in early recovery from substance use. The program is intended to provide group and individual counseling for a 1-3 months span. Samantha reports only using tobacco and heroin. Her drug of choice is heroin. While building a rapport with Samantha she remained clam and engaged in the conversation but when discussing issues of her son, she became disassociated for a couple of minutes then talked about the event with anger and hurt. Through the first two sessions, Samantha seemed open to discuss her traumatic events in her life. Samantha had complex trauma that started at the age of seven. 1) The death of her father at the age of 5 because of cancer.

“Get a room!” said Ally, making a face. Ally is Sam’s best friend. Sam has lived through the scary, wonderful experience of drugs, sex, high school parties and not to mention, lots of draggy homework. Not too long after her senior year starts, her life flashes before her eyes. February 12th turned out to be the last day of her life but the very weird thing about it is, sam still wakes up the next morning. I don’t get what’s up with all of the movies & books starting to kill people and then having them wake up the next morning. That is the only part I don’t get throughout this amazing book. Sam had it all before her tragic accident. The popularity, looks and the perfect boyfriend.

Strumming the strings of her lute, she entrances the crowded travern. She casts spells upon others, using only her voice and sheer charisma. She smiles, regaling them with tales of brave knights and fearsome dragons, or beautiful maidens with flowing golden hair. Someone tosses a coin at her, and it lands near her dancing feet with a metallic clang. She nods in appreciation, but never misses a note or bar in her song. Not that Beth wasn't trouble because she is, its just Sarah never listened and always found a way to get herself into shit, and as her partner it was Beth's job to get her out of it.

Samantha Parker is a twenty-four-year-old female who went to the emergency department with complains of stomach pain in the Right Lower Quadrant. She stated that the pain started around 9am today while she was at work and the pain is progressively getting worse. Samantha stated that she has the urge to throw up, but does not. Samantha reports diaphoresis (sweating) and irregularity in her bowel habit. She does not have a fever, shortness of breath, headache, dizziness, cough, sore throat, urinary problems, chest pain, or rash. Samantha has never experienced this pain before. She rated the pain 8/10 in severity. Samantha informed her doctor of her previous surgeries and she had cholecystectomy surgery (removal of gallbladder and gallstones).
