Samantha could be "the one", so Jake is willing to do anything he can to prove himself to her. Feeling protective of her, he does his best to be a defensive driver as they spend quality time together completing a task for her perfectionist mother. Everything was easier with Samantha as his side, even as the reminder of their task thumps in the trunk of the car ominously, they can't help but giggle and continue flirting. He's convinced that this will bring them closer and solidify their relationship. "It gets easier, repeated in his thoughts. His beloved Samantha said it would." While these words ring true for Samantha, it's still unclear if they will be enough to carry Jake through this task. Striking balance between action and dialogue, It
I called the constituent, Ms Kathryn Chase, she said that is frustrated that nobody helps her to stop her siblings and her uncle stealing her mother's money and jewelry.
It wasn’t like any other swim practice, no, not like any other I’d ever gone to. No one usually moved to Minot, North Dakota that was also in swimming, so when Emily Pitcher and her family moved to town and came to practice, it was quite a shock for everyone on the team. She moved from Colorado and she had 2 younger brothers and a younger sister as well. They seemed nice enough but there was something about Emily, who was my age, which seemed a bit off.
Last year, 2016, scaled to my first tournament that would be played at Marista. I would not
Freshman Ella. It’s a scary thought, but for this story we have to go back to March of my freshman year at an event called Chamber Festival, which is basically when you play in small groups instead of large orchestras. In our school orchestra I was second chair viola which, me only being a freshman, was a very big deal. At least it was for me. Many of my other friends in orchestra already had their own instruments, and I felt like it was time to get one of my own. So for months I begged my parents. I insisted that I wouldn’t give up playing in a year or two, that I really would stick with it long enough for the investment to make sense. Finally, in the beginning of 2015, they agreed to get me a viola. Now was the hard part, agreeing
Focus: Samantha will respect authority figures. Ms. Smalls (MHP), Ms. Givens (MHS) and Samantha discuss reported incidents of defiance.
Have you ever loved one thing so much that you just can’t stop thinking about it? Well, running was that “thing” for 16-year-old track star Jessica Carlisle. She lived, breathed, and ate running every single day up until the accident. When her track team’s bus is coming home from their meet, they collide with another vehicle that is going the opposite way. One of their teammates’ dies and Jessica ends up losing her leg.
I’m Sarah Stutzman and this is the story of my life. I am twelve years old, and quite tall. I’ve lived in Indiana my whole life, so I am blessed enough to experience the season changes. In addition to viewing all the season changes, me and my family visit new places on vacation as much as possible. Artistic; a term that strongly represents me. I proudly enjoy painting nature, such as open fields, lakes, sunsets, fall, streams, and so forth. In the meantime, I transport my art supplies to a massive oak tree in the cattle field that overlooks the lake, and perch on the highest branch to paint the everlasting meadow. Ironically, art isn’t my only profession, I also participate in sports and clubs, such as 4H, basketball, track, volleyball,
For my project I was given the opportunity to interview Kristen Samp, a former member of the LPGA tour and former Head professional at Lawrence Country Club. Samp started her career off playing golf as an amateur and was able to take her skills to play in college. While attending college, where she earned a degree in English and Philosophy, she continued to play golf which helped her gain confidence to take her game to the next level, the LPGA. While on tour, Samp played in 40 events over the course of four years (Fox Sports). After a stint on the LPGA tour, she translated her knowledge and experience in golf to an Assistant professional job at Lawrence Country Club. Once there she worked as an assistant professional before given the opportunity
It wasn't until Ashley pointed out a light down the road did we start to notice the sound of barking. I was so nervous that it was a guard dog to notice Abby escaping my grip. She was running to the light, hollering at the top of her lungs, 'puppy'.
Dakota your profiles is one of my favorites. I love how instead of interviewing a worker you interviewed your mom. No one would truly be able to give your story that special touch it needed other than your mom. Being able to get insight from someone who was really close to what was going on really brings your story to life. One comment I have would be to maybe talk about a specific memory that you will always remember. On a different note, my family loves disney world too! We are actually going over christmas break. No matter how many times we go the fun is always still there. I also know what you mean when you said "some of our biggest family fights, waiting in lines over three hours long, and spending countless amounts of money on overpriced
Samantha was referred to our TSS program to recover from heroin. Our program aims to help individuals in early recovery from substance use. The program is intended to provide group and individual counseling for a 1-3 months span. Samantha reports only using tobacco and heroin. Her drug of choice is heroin. While building a rapport with Samantha she remained clam and engaged in the conversation but when discussing issues of her son, she became disassociated for a couple of minutes then talked about the event with anger and hurt. Through the first two sessions, Samantha seemed open to discuss her traumatic events in her life. Samantha had complex trauma that started at the age of seven. 1) The death of her father at the age of 5 because of cancer.
“Get a room!” said Ally, making a face. Ally is Sam’s best friend. Sam has lived through the scary, wonderful experience of drugs, sex, high school parties and not to mention, lots of draggy homework. Not too long after her senior year starts, her life flashes before her eyes. February 12th turned out to be the last day of her life but the very weird thing about it is, sam still wakes up the next morning. I don’t get what’s up with all of the movies & books starting to kill people and then having them wake up the next morning. That is the only part I don’t get throughout this amazing book. Sam had it all before her tragic accident. The popularity, looks and the perfect boyfriend.
Strumming the strings of her lute, she entrances the crowded travern. She casts spells upon others, using only her voice and sheer charisma. She smiles, regaling them with tales of brave knights and fearsome dragons, or beautiful maidens with flowing golden hair. Someone tosses a coin at her, and it lands near her dancing feet with a metallic clang. She nods in appreciation, but never misses a note or bar in her song. The bard continues this way until closing time, before rejoining the others in her band of theives. Leaving satisfied that her pockets are heavy with jangling
Not that Beth wasn't trouble because she is, its just Sarah never listened and always found a way to get herself into shit, and as her partner it was Beth's job to get her out of it.
