RECUPERACION DEL INFORME: LA SIBILA
Capitulo 1.

When the reader is first introduced to the story, one is told of the newly crowned queen Dulce Rosa Orellano that is described as being happy and graceful by Allende. The characterization of the young girl is important because this shows that she is known for her outer appearances and behaviors rather than her

The Renaissance was an influential period in developing humanistic inquiry. The age is characterized by a deep commitment to education and the arts. People began studying science and creating art for its own sake; it was believed that engaging in such endeavors allowed one to lead a life of morality, and Renaissance artwork was devoted to core values concerning early Christian morality and learning. This paper discusses Joaquin des Prez's "Ave Maria"¦virgo Serena," and how demonstrates core values of Excellence, Community, Respect, and Personal Development, Responsible Stewardship, and Integrity. Attention is paid not only to the lyrics themselves but also to the formal technique of the song.
Rodriguez does not comfort whose mother even though he feels something is not right. Richard thinks that his mother is “sad” and wanted to approach her and ask however claims they are “questions of paradise.” if someone's mother felt sad or upset, usually there children would try to comfort them and understand what they are feeling, however richard feels his mother’s pain but does not even try to ask what the cause of it is. Richard compares his mother too material objects. Richard thinks that his mother “seems very small,” when compared to the “expensive foreign cars” behind her. Richard instead of notices his mother, notices the expensive foreign cars more. Richard also does not even recognize what his parents are doing. He didn't realize that his father “has” only said one thing to him all evening. Someone would notice if their father had not spoken to them all day, however richard does not realize this to the very
In chapter three of The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao author Junot Diaz delves into a theme of maternal love, the sacrifices a mother makes for the sake of her child, in his telling of the story of La Inca and Beli Cabral. The two relatives are introduced to motherhood under similar tragic circumstances, with their names adding on to the list of people wronged by the Dominican Republic’s oppressive Trujillo regime. However, when it comes to the protection of their children, neither mother conducts herself as a victim. Instead, in perhaps the most trying moments of their respective lives, both women act defiantly, spurred on by the desire to save their children from a nightmarish reality. Here lies a striking similarity between the two characters, their capacity to endure anything for their children. As such, the actions of La Inca and Beli Cabral are

Rafaela, a beautiful, young girl, feels controlled by her husband, but sits inside doing nothing to change his undermining demeanor. Equally important, Rafaela 's husband is afraid of losing Rafaela 's beauty to the outside world and feels he has authoritative power over her to prevent this from occurring. Rafaela’s beauty intimidates her husband 's sense of power. Since her beauty threatens her husband, he locks her indoors to strip her from her freedom and show his dominance over her. The quote states that Rafaela leans out her window a lot, which creates the thought that she wants to go outside and explore the world. Rafaela’s husband is afraid of losing her because her beauty is so powerful that he uses male power to restrain her. Rafaela can ultimately deny her husband 's orders and go outside, but she chooses to cower to his authority by staying inside. Similar to Rafaela, Esperanza’s grandmother was an independent woman, strong and proud: “Until my great-grandfather threw a sack over her head and carried her off. Just like that, as if she were a fancy chandelier...She looked out the window her whole life, the way so many women sit their sadness on an elbow. I wonder if she made the best with what she got or was
This voice is a voice of compassion. However what is said reveals a lot about the speaker. The fact that the speaker refers to her as “Soledad” implies that there is a sort of familiarity between them, as does the word “preguntas” instead of the polite version, “pregunta”. The speaker also chooses the word “compaña” rather than “compañía” a gypsy like manor, implying that this character is from the same background as Soledad “Montoya” – a typical gypsy name.
Together they raised nine children, 3 females and 6 males, she is the second oldest daughter and the third oldest child. Growing up she attended school up until high school and throughout her education, she helped with the drudgery of the home and nurtured her younger boisterous siblings. Moreover, her daily schedule included the preparations of meals, which were mostly simple dishes always involving beans, attending school, persuading her sibling to get ready for school, finishing homework assignments, and entertaining them while her parents worked. Holidays most celebrated were Christmas, New Years, Rosca de Reyes, Day of the dead, and the bull fights festivals, all having their very own dining event. Her life didn’t always orbit around her education and family. She also had an abundance of friends and considered herself a social person during her childhood. Friendships during her adolescence consisted of kids from the neighborhood and from school, they would play games like tag, run races, and explore the town. On the cusp of adulthood, she would spend her time with girlfriends chatting, congregating by the river or plaza, and enjoying her free days by drinking and
