As with anything, how children are in a community setting versus how they are in a school setting varies greatly. Therefore as expected, fieldwork in a community setting is much different than how it is in a school setting. In the community setting there is a feeling of less stress on both me and the children. Additionally it is a much more relaxed environment. As a whole, being able to experience both in class and community environments for fieldwork will greatly benefit me as a future teacher. When attending the Armory I first noticed how much less stressful it is. Although the stress in a classroom is not necessarily a bad thing, there is almost little to no stress when it comes to the Armory. Everything is very relaxed and based more on
The call of May16 began from a high school website known as “idunno.org,” a page that primarily updates the school board and calendar of Dunno High School, where students were informed that there will be no late start on Wednesday, May 16. Every Wednesday, there is a late start which pushes the schools starting bell from 7:50 a.m. to 8:58 a.m., allowing students to sleep well and have more time for themselves in the morning. After hearing the news, the students of Dunno High School created the facebook page “Students of Wednesday” to protest against the school’s dismissal for late start.
Before the 6th grade, I really enjoyed math and I believed I was even good at it. Then to add to my excitement about math, I made a perfect score on my 6th grade Taks test. However, the next year (my 7th grade year) my teacher was a new teacher and you could tell she was struggling. She was a very nice teacher, and I loved her so much, I just struggled to understand what she was teaching. The next year, I transferred to a new school. Here, the teachers were not certified but they tried to help with everything they possibly could; however, their ability to help us was pretty limited. At my new school, we did all of our work on computers for half of the day and attended college classes at Panola and TSTC the rest of day. While I truly loved this
Life as a middle school student will be totally different from the high school life. These are two different things and way more things will be expected from each and every student now that we are in high school. It will not be as easy as middle school was because when coming to the high school students will have to face hard challenges that might throw them off because they are not use to it. After a couple of week of experiencing high school it will start to get a little easier. Do not to expect high school to go by easy as middle school. If my word could get to the upcoming 8th graders about life at Spartanburg High School I would warn them about academics, sports, and friendships.
A time in my life when something bad turned out to be good was the middle of eighth grade when i wasn’t do well in my classes. This situation was bad because my grades weren’t good, and I wasnt doing the homework. One day in class , the teacher gave me a note from the office that said the principal wanted to talk to me. When I got to his office he was telling me that my grades were really low and I had to attend the after school program for forty days if I wanted to walk the stage for eighth grade promotion. From that day on I realized how important it was to be doing my homework if I wanted to succeed in school. After like a month my grades started to improve to B’s and it made me so proud of myself. It made me proud because, I was able to
Bullying in Middle School in Revere, Massachusetts. Bullying on school ground is a big problem here in Revere. Middle school students have been reporting to parents and teachers that their are bullies who are their main concerns. They would be physcially and verbally attacking them any way possible. To avoid any causes that may affect bullying victims, we should solve the issue by having a plan laid out for bullies kids. If the problems are not going to be fixed students can be at risk. Their lives can be in danger. How can we address and fixed this situation to save kids who are getting bully in school. What can we do to protect students from bullies.
These are my plans to succeed in the rest of the 8th grade school year.
There is an issue here in the U.S to most people. You may or may not be having this issue and you may or may not agree with this issue. But, there is a problem with school times. Some students are going to school too early, and this can lead to some issues. Students will have worse health and have worse academics if school times are early in the morning.
I just want to say 8th grade is an experience you will never have again. It’s a point in life where you are a kid and adult at the same time. It’s a place to grow up and become who you want in life. Your 8th grade year is going to be lots of hard work, you have to fight to make it. Mostly no one slips by 8th grade without attempting to do their best.
Eighth grade is an exciting year as pupils are prepared for their departure into high school. This, of course, comes with the endless speeches of preparing for the future. Some of this preparation includes encouraging students to think about their future. Some of this preparation includes encouraging students to think about their future careers they may want. Doing this helps the eighth graders realize the importance of looking at careers early on so when the time comes for them to be employed they aren’t freaking out and having existential crises. At an attempt to match a job with our interests we were asked to take an online quiz. This quiz would spew out categories which could be clicked and opened. Within them would be a list of jobs. After
Hi. I am Diamond Johnson. I’ve been attending HSS-High since seventh grade and now I am currently a junior. I think I am a good role model at Harmony because I’m a very outgoing person and I also play sports, so I show others that you can be an athlete and also be on A/B honor roll. I am the captain of the basketball team because I have good sportsmanship and Leadership skills. I always encourage my other teammates or help them in an area they aren’t good in instead of judging them. I don’t just associate with people in my grade level I am opened to talking to anybody just so that they know that they will always have a friend to talk to. At Harmony we the students tend to create our group of friends based on race but I try to hang out with everybody just to show them that Harmony is a diverse school for a reason, so use that opportunity to learn about each other. I also believe that being a role model is not just temporary because someone is always watching your every move to learn from you. Therefore, they cannot learn from bad examples so you should always do the right things behind closed doors.
Fifth grade was intimidating, it was where all four elementary schools combined. Fifth grade was also when you could start band. I had taken piano lessons in the third grade and had loved learning to play an instrument so I was extremely excited to join band. I was particularly looking forward to being able to play another instrument. I had no idea what to play, my mother had hoped I would choose the drums instead I had defied her wishes and picked the clarinet. I had two reasons for picking the clarinet, the first reason being I thought it looked really cool and decided I wanted to learn to play it. The second reason was based on the suggestion of Stephenie, our original plan had been to play the cello together but at the last moment she decided to play the flute. It was after this shift in instruments she suggested I play clarinet so we could play across from each other. Without any sort of idea as to what
I got this email right now from Sr. Sevda (Grade 2A). Please see the attachment of resign letter. I have been working with her some personal issue for past three weeks and she needs time off this year. In my opinion, we should hire Sr. Hanan (ELL resource teacher) to replace her ASAP so NO interruption take place in children learning and Jenny will be assisting her with the transition period.

I think for the 5th grade field trip we should go to an art museum called Crystal Bridges.I think we should go because we could learn history,we could also get ideas for paintings we could paint when we get older, and my classmates and I would enjoy it very much.
