When I contemplate about the different domains of science and technology, it is tough to think of a field that is going to change the world as much as Embedded Systems will, in the years ahead.
As Dr. Cesare Alippi mentions in his book “Intelligence for Embedded Systems”, we are entering the era where technology interacts proactively with the real world. While Cesere 's ideas are interesting and exciting to think about, I foresee this field making its mark in every nook and corner of science. What excites me the most is all about this era, where the focus shifts towards merging technology with human intelligence to create an age of Cognitive Technology. I want to contribute to that age of evolution in one way or the other. Thus, a M.S. degree in Embedded Systems (with emphasis on Embedded Software for Life-critical Applications) is the logical culmination of my passion for Embedded Systems and Electronics in general.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Electronics and Communication [Elective – Embedded System Design] from Visvesvaraya Technological University with the grade `First Class with Distinction '. Also, I was a topper of the undergraduate program at my college. Prior to my undergraduate degree, I have been the topper in Physics and Mathematics at my Pre-University college.
My interest for the field piqued during my schooling days, when I started assisting a cousin of mine with his school science projects. That was when I decided to understand more about systems
With today’s technology we haven’t found a way for a computer to think for itself. This can only happen with the potentialities that will develop over time. The future may hold great opportunities for this new found world.
The second emerging technology to consider is Artificial Intelligence (AI). Over the next couple of years, applications will begin to incorporate AI at a certain level. Intelligent applications can improve efficiency when it is layered between people and systems. AI can bring a competitive advantage with automation, data processing, and analytics. Smart devices would be able to interact with AI. As the technology develops, AI can reduce the number of defects and improving the quality control of a company’s
My interest in Informatics developed when I started my undergrad at George Mason University. When I began my undergraduate career, I had the opportunity to be exposed to the many IT courses. All of which tended to reinforce and solidify my interest in Health Informatics.
Let’s take a step back and affirm that we are living in the era of fourth industrial revolution. Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics, Blockchains, etc are taking us to places which only existed in sci-fi. Now, let us ask ourselves a question as inventors of ever-evolving
Chapter 6 Explain how the technological revolution impacted the cognitive revolution. Which do you think has had a larger impact on education? Why? Technology revolution has made a huge impact on the education world, so many ways on how learners are processing any learning classroom environment.
I had an interest in the field of computer science from a very young age. It started in grade three when my school started teaching me and my friends about operating computers, while only grade six students were previously trained to do so. Although I was only taught about using paint software at that time, I learnt about the multidimensional usage of computer with time. Outside the school, I was an avid follower of automobiles, and to be specific I got really interested when I learnt about the supremacy of computing in automobiles, which helped to shape myself to major in computer science. In 2008, when Google launched the idea of self-driving car, I was amazed by the idea behind the technology empowering the mechanicals of an automobile.
Sensing and effecting require detailed understanding of corresponding physical behaviors that generate and utilize data, as well as effective means for storage, retrieval, and manipulation of data using high power computing platforms. As project manager I was able to orchestrate experts in this arena to improve the combatant commanders employment of C4ISR equipment to match the adversarial behavioral of the enemy in a specific area, this research focused passive electromagnetic, radar, mechanical wave and weather environmental sensing. This required an architecture update to information system, sensing platforms and architectural update to devices such as jeeps, heavy trucks, and in some cases aircraft. I was able to also focus on System Intelligence and Intelligent Systems research, which exploits interactions between information and intelligent systems, such as mechanical devices and software components, whereas information is transformed between different levels of abstraction and roles within the system’s cognitive processes – recognition, reasoning, predictions, and decision-making. Other research, especially for Cyber Security, was a focus on Networks and Communications research. This concentration focus on understanding and exploiting information’s interactions with socio-technical
The progress in science & technology is a non-stop process. New things and new technology are being invented. As the technology grows day by day, we can imagine about the future in which thing we may occupy every
Thinking about evolution of electronics and robotics can lead us to some imaginative yet quite realistic scenarios. Robots taking over the world or some computer system that will hack our own biological and natural processor, brain, could possibly happen. In this scene from future, our power will be over or will be revolutionized into technological dominance. The creation of
Whether it be intelligent cooking or self-driving cars, it is quite evident that technology is continually being integrated into our lives. From people salivating over the new iPhone 7 to tech-fanatics gushing over the Project Ariana, technology has surely surpassed what most could even fathom.
Technology is one of the quickest evolving fields of the modern society. Everyday, scientists and engineers think of ways to develop the current technology in order to make daily human tasks easier to achieve. They are able to reach innovations that change how we view objects and how we deal with the world around us leading to innovations in how manufacturers and businesses do their jobs.
do at all, not just a new way of doing something. In this way, technology
High speed memory, long term storage capacity and speeds of the on-board computers will continue to increase. According to Ray Kurzweil, the capacity of robot brains will exceed that of human brains within the next 20 years.
For my under graduate studies, I have opted for “ Computer science and Engineering” in P S G College of technology, where I find my diligent study has brought home to me very strongly, that there is still a vast field that I must explore and master to achieve my goal of been the best. The economic ad technological liberalization that is taking place in my country would ensure that I would be able to use my expertise to make India a leader in the area of information science and technology. My expertise to the numerous Engineering subjects imbibed in me, an interest to pursue further education in this
