Flip This Last year I was at my aunt's camp, and I noticed she had a for sale sign, I asked her what she was selling and she said she wanted to sell her boat lift. I asked her how much she wanted, and she said she was looking to get $1000 for the lift. I then told her that she could get more than that for her lift, I told her that I would sell it for $1500. She then said ok, if you can get more than a $1000, it's yours. I later then walked outside and measured the lift and took some nice photos, I posted it on craigslist, and 45 minutes later I had a email from a guy who was interested. When price a used item you should take inconsideration that the item might has been used, and has some wear and tear, also it might need some work. To find a price for an item like that I usually look at what they're selling a brand new one for, I then look at what I'm selling and lower the price doe to age or work it needs. If it's possible you could go on craigslist and see if someone is selling an item like yours and price it close to their price. Remember, don't over price an item because, no one will buy it when they can get it cheaper, brand new. Take nice photos, to show any wear or tear on it. If you can’t use natural light, be sure to use the white balance function on your camera. You can also use image editing software like Photoshop to clean up your photos after the fact. Also make sure you describe the item perfectly, including any damage on it. Because no one will want to buy something that looks good in a picture, get it home and it's damaged. The important thing about selling used things is, don't rip people off be honest about everything, if you want to be treated the same way. Also only sell item that will sell, don't bother wasting your time trying to sell something that you know will not sell. The most important things to buying and selling is, advertise nicely, make sure you take good pictures, and price the item appropriately, also make sure you have a full description of the item, including any damage, or how the item work. I believe that the best vehicle to have for Buying and selling, is a truck. WHY? Because a truck, might not get the best gas mileage, but at least when you want to pick something up, like a lawn tractor, fridge, toolbox, atv, etc. You can easily put it in the back of the truck and drive away.For people who don't have a truck and want to start this carrier, first off I would suggest getting a truck, but for now, you could stick to buying smaller things, that you know will fit in your
