Flip This Last year I was at my aunt's camp, and I noticed she had a for sale sign, I asked her what she was selling and she said she wanted to sell her boat lift. I asked her how much she wanted, and she said she was looking to get $1000 for the lift. I then told her that she could get more than that for her lift, I told her that I would sell it for $1500. She then said ok, if you can get more than a $1000, it's yours. I later then walked outside and measured the lift and took some nice photos, I posted it on craigslist, and 45 minutes later I had a email from a guy who was interested. I called the guy who was interested in the lift, and we arranged for him to come the next morning and look at it. Not more than 24 hours later the lift …show more content…
When price a used item you should take inconsideration that the item might has been used, and has some wear and tear, also it might need some work. To find a price for an item like that I usually look at what they're selling a brand new one for, I then look at what I'm selling and lower the price doe to age or work it needs. If it's possible you could go on craigslist and see if someone is selling an item like yours and price it close to their price. Remember, don't over price an item because, no one will buy it when they can get it cheaper, brand new. According to author Elizabeth Wasserman the editor of Inc.’s, One of the secrets to business success is pricing your products properly. Take nice photos, to show any wear or tear on it. If you can’t use natural light, be sure to use the white balance function on your camera. You can also use image editing software like Photoshop to clean up your photos after the fact. Also make sure you describe the item perfectly, including any damage on it. Because no one will want to buy something that looks good in a picture, get it home and it's damaged. The important thing about selling used things is, don't rip people off be honest about everything, if you want to be treated the same way. Also only sell item that will sell, don't bother wasting your time trying to sell something that you know will not sell. The most important things to buying and selling is, advertise nicely, make sure you take good pictures, and price the item appropriately, also make sure you have a full description of the item, including any damage, or how the item work. I believe that the best vehicle to have for Buying and selling, is a truck. WHY? Because a truck, might not get the best gas mileage, but at least when you want to pick something up, like a lawn tractor, fridge, toolbox, atv, etc. You can easily put it in the back of the truck and drive away. For people who don't have a truck and want to start this carrier, first off I would suggest getting a truck, but for now, you could stick to buying smaller things, that you know will fit in your
“The Boat” by Nam Le, is a serious of short stories that while representing a number of different themes throughout each story, the central theme regards the complicated relationship between children and their parents, with each story examining this theme in different ways. The opening and closing stories, “Love and Honour and Pity and Pride and Compassion and Sacrifice”, and “The Boat”, not only develop the relationship between children and parents and how the child attempts to maintain this relationship; but also how they live their lives without their parents.
The theme in both the short story The Boat by Alistair Macleod and the poem Warren Pryor by Alden Nowlan have direct connections. Both works reflect the theme of obligation versus aspiration, and promote the message that it is difficult to be happy with a career chosen in order to please someone else. In each story, the protagonists feel compelled to follow a path that is not their own, but rather one chosen for them by their parents who are blind to the protagonist’s true desires. The narrator in The Boat is conflicted throughout the story as he tries to reconcile his own ambition of attending university with the expectation he will continue the family tradition as a fisherman. At the beginning of the story, he describes how his family is
The insurance policy issued to hunt did cover fire damage, as most builders risk policies due; however, it also covered almost every other kind of damage that a construction company might encounter as well, and Hunts damages were mostly caused due to water damage. In order for Allianz to call the builders risk policy a fire insurance policy, and subject the policy to have the Plaintiff seek indemnification that was not caused by fire or means covered in a “fire insurance policy”, there are several ramifications involved.

Mike asked me to pick out all the items I could afford that day, so I did. I had picked out an Xbox 360 and a small 32’ TV. Mike nodded his head and asked me what I wanted, well the list grew long. He priced out everything I wanted and it came out to approximately $2,500. I scoffed because the price was outstanding and would leave me broke. He then led me through a new plan that would allow me to take everything I wanted and pay nothing up front. In disbelief, I asked how. He explained that if I wanted to buy a home someday I needed great

It was a cool windy summer morning in Clear Lake, RMNP, and my family and friends decided to rent a pontoon boat, to enjoy a day out on the lake. We planned on going on the lake for around five hours so we packed up some delicious sandwiches and drinks, then headed down to the marina to rent a pontoon boat. As we get to the marina we look out onto the water to see the waves vigorously lashing against the shore. We then approach the guy at the marina and ask to rent a pontoon boat for 9. He then shows us to our boat and we load up all of our stuff on to the boat. By that time the wind started to pick up a bit causing the waves to get even larger than before, I could say I have a minor fear of boats but I really enjoy just getting my tan on
