Tera normally woke around 6:00, so she was surprised when she awoke to find the sun streaming into the bedroom and she judged it to be about 8:30. She walked down the stairs and into the kitchen to find everyone else already awake and up. "She wakes!" "Shut up, Jack." "Someone's grumpy this morning." Someone in the corner snorted, "Multiple someones." "Oh, right." Jack said, "Thomas is experiencing his first major hangover. I nearly forgot." No less than four people chuckled. "What? It's true." Thomas groaned and someone patted his back sympathetically. "So, Tera, what took you so long to wake up?" Jack smirked. The buffoon was enjoying this. She groaned, "You are an idiot." "You wound me." "You'll recover." "How do you know? You …show more content…
But, the humans forgot that they existed because the daemons had favored them over the other creatures, and became afraid of the daemons. One thing led to another and anti-daemon sentiment rose. The people leading this called themselves 'The People' and their opposition (pro-daemon people) called themselves 'The Others'. The People started gathering an army. This army was specially equipped with weapons meant to kill daemons. The Others did their best to stop this army from advancing on the daemons but failed. The People found a way into the demon realm and- The girl shut the book. She wanted a detailed history of the beginnings of Earth. Not a recount of The War. She knew she had paid too much for this book, but it had looked so promising! A History of Humans. She should have demanded to read the first chapter before purchase. But, no, she had forgotten. Now she was short on money and still no closer to finding the answer. A small dog padded up to her and quirked its head in a questioning manner. "Sorry Ralph, another dud." The dog seemed to sigh. That is if dogs could sigh, Ralph would've sighed at this moment. "Hey," says the girl, "Don't give up hope. I know it's hard not knowing, but we're sure to find an answer someday. I just hope it's soon." "The Others!" croaked a voice, "We could try to find them. Maybe this book wasn't such a bad investment after all!" The woman looked over at the blue and green parrot perched on the edge of the book.
When he finished the funny tasting tea he set the cup back on the table, and looked back up at the landlady. He almost jumped out of his skin when he saw that more than her fingernails were red. All of her hands and forearms were blood red. With this Billy swiftly said,”I think I’ll be going now.”
“Um, how do you do charlie” I said shyly. “ Fine kid say why don’t you get me a soda” Charlie said very rudely. “ Alright what kind” I said smiling. “Oh wait let me guess Grape right” I exclaimed. “ Lucky guess smartie , that’s my favorite kind” Charlie said astonished. “Ya I guess so” I said kindly. Suddenly Kibbles runs up and started to bark at Charlie. Charlie looked down at Kibbles, and he seemed very disgusted. Charlie kicked Kibbles and yelled “ Get out of here you dumb dog!” Kibbles flew across the room and hit the faded old yellow coach. “ Charlie that wasn’t very nice” I blurted. Charlie looked surprised for a moment then said “ I don’t have to be nice so where is my soda.” “ Over there” I said angrily as Charlie floated past me
With such a sheltered life, every detail of their path practically drawn for the two siblings forced to walk, it was a wonder the two had had any mental stability left at all. To comprehend what was correct to do or even how to have grasped a job without the codependency of their parents. Maybe the praying had worked that Eve had occasionally did when they had finally found freedom, then again, her mind constantly wondered if she was actually asking God who resided in the Bible, or God who was her keeper for eighteen years. But then again, did it really matter? Did prayers matter or was someone else answering anything she silently asked when on her knees? If she could have chose a God or two to answer, it would have been the kind old
"Here I thought this was cramped when I was stuck in here alone," Cat mutters, voice barely above a whisper. If they're on schedule they're still more than half an hour away from inspection, but old habits die hard and it's better to be safe than sorry.
Daemons are stylized as ministers of evil and cruelty highly organized with both a logical and calculating nature. The Squad are chaotic evil by nature having no true rulers, though powerful Daemonlords have been known to gain enough power and influence to control sizeable armies of daemonic creatures.
Phelps and Umonakalisi reached the bottom of the stairwell, stopping just long enough to catch their breath, but with the location of their foe unknown, Phelps opened a crack in the door just wide enough to hear the silence of the empty corridor. They were alone. Their prey still alluded them, and both men burst through the doors, setting off at a sprint along the passageway. Within thirty seconds, the signs on the walls announced the beginning of Hangar G. Phelps slowed. He searched for an entrance. Then, he stopped beside one of the huge maintenance doorways and pressed the access panel. The door remained unmoved.
“What the hell is he doing here?” John asked when he opened the motel door to see his son with Sam Campbell.
Standing behind a counter with a blank face, the cashier swiped the food items from right to left: BING… BING… BING. Her dark black hair laid across her pale skin, covering the entry to her soul. Her posture was poor; she was slumped over with a perfect curve in her back. Each time she reached to her right to grab a food item, her bangs would fall onto her nose leading her to blow them off angrily.
The next week, the students were at lunch talking about their discovery to the rest of the Round Table, the Round Table was a group of the most trusted elite youth in PoHi that would get together daily to discuss politics and proper grammar. The students were so ecstatic to finally learn the truth about Grimes, knowing that this file alone would answer a question that students had asked for years and years. Anthony started to reach into his bag to grab the file when all of a sudden a hammer slammed down on the table, the weapon was huge, it was double sided and a spike sticking out the top. The sheer sight of it traumatized people. But the truly interesting feature was an engraving on the side that read “Gatekeeper” in solid 24k gold. The
During Armageddon atmospheric disturbances caused by the super-earthquakes created Dimension Gateways opening Realm Portals, allowing the daemons to traverse from other dimensions and realms.
On a calm summers morning in the year 2018, Jack went to work at In-N-Out burger. He was flipping burgers and making milkshakes when his boss came over to remind him about his lunch break. Jack hopped in the car and drove near the Dolby Theater to Subway for lunch. He gave his order and waited for his sandwich. Jack looked out the window and saw the busy hustle and bustle of downtown LA. He saw the stars of celebrities and the crazy traffic, the tall buildings and the crazy culture. Moments later his sandwich was ready and he drove into the standstill traffic. Jack looked at his phone in the motionless traffic and found his lunch break had ended. Jack became stressed as his hopes of making it back to work was zero to none. Jack attempted
Hello, I'm Jack it is a good thing we moved from California. I am currently moving boxes into our new house in New Jersey. This is the 6th house we moved into. We couldn't afford our old house. My dad just recently passed so all the money went towards his tombstone, burial, and funeral. My mom died a few weeks ago from a guy who ran a red light while she was crossing the street. She died instantly right then and there. My parents are in a better place now. It's 80° and I'm sweating so much from the heat. I took off my shirt and threw it on the gate but it didn't make it into the gate. It landed on this boys head.
Leaha fought the urge to focus on the screen that buzzed to life in her lap. The laptop could use a hell of an upgrade, one she already mapped out. But for now it would do, specially considering that it could not be tracked. Leaha wanted to dig into the files she had stolen, not only to learn what had set off the attack against them. But also to learn more about the people around her now. Leaha had never really trusted anyone, and the fact that she had almost allowed it before all this only pissed her off. But it proved her feelings on trusting others right in smooth move.
It’s 9 o’clock at night, usually dark by now but the summer hours stretch the sun’s rays enough to last all day. A small gas station is in front of me, in the middle of no-where: Camden, Arkansas. Luckily I won’t be here for long.
"Hey Kiddy," she grimaced, even though she knew that Desta couldn 't help his accent/lisp/speech problem thing. It still bugged her to no ends. She looked up to show she was paying attention. "Um...so... I was dinking, maybe we can all chill?
