You certainly hadn’t expected to be out this late when you had left for work this morning. Come to think of it, you had rushed out of the house, nearly forgetting your lunch, and spilled coffee on your new blouse while hastily slamming the door. So you hadn’t been prepared to clean up after the shop had closed late. You gazed out into the evening as you locked the doors behind you. New York City was generally a lively place in the evenings, however, on a dark and dank Monday night, walking back to the apartment was not the safest decision. However, you had no choice. You clutched your purse to your chest and gritted your teeth as a cold wind blew your hair back. A block or two down, you began to notice the faint clattering of footsteps …show more content…
Soon you were out the door and ready to go. You stepped out of the apartment complex, purse in hand, when you heard a brazen voice from behind you. “Long time no see, scary lady!” You turned to see the same man you had almost assaulted last night, with a wry but nervous smile on his face. Your face lit up in recognition, as you saw he had just emerged from the hotel adjacent to your apartment. You chuckled. “Sorry about last night… You can never be too careful.” You took that as the end of the conversation and began to walk towards your work. But he ran to catch up with you, placing his hands in his pockets as he nonchalantly looked ahead. “Sooooo, where are you headed?” “Where are you headed?” You looked at him questioningly. He shrugged, and you answered with a sigh. “I work at the coffeeshop about four blocks down.” “Why should a pretty lady like yourself work somewhere like there?” You laughed at his audacity. “Because I need money if I want to quit working somewhere like there.” It was about that time when a car pulled up to your side of the road and a voice called out of the back seat. “Joseph Joestar just where are you headed?” The man, whose name was apparently Joseph, panicked. “OH NO! Granny Erina! Umm… I was just talking to, what’s your name?” You chuckled. “Scary lady.” After Joseph was dragged away by his grandmother, you continued your walk to the coffee shop. You unlocked the door and flipped the sign to say “open”. Sunday
There was an hour maybe two before sunset and the end to a day of hard work. He had spent most of the day packing and repacking his own wagon in preparation of tomorrow’s departure. The wagon he was currently using belonged to the inn. It wasn’t easy trying to
“Where are you going?” He asked me like it mattered. It seemed like a genuine question.
It was just a casual, beautiful day in New York. Nothing was out of the ordinary that day, that was until a man who was oddly lurking around. Drew Bell, which is a police officer who watches over New York, was on duty that day. She didn't think much of it at first but she still kept a close eye on him. She then noticed he started to look around to see if anyone was watching him, he didn't notice Drew so he continued on his way. She then just put it into conclusion that maybe he was just a homeless man looking for shelter, or food. So she then goes back to her duty. But little did she know he was nothing like that all, and that he would be the person to destroy New York.
“Ok, I will go on. So I stood there at the restaurant and a policeman comes toward me and..”
“What the hell am I going to do now?” the reality sets in as a loud pounding noise is heard advancing up the street coming his way. The spotlight passes through the streets, moving in a timely fashion up and down the road and then against the buildings probing up the walls searching for something. One spotlight is coming from a large building about a block away, north of his location. Watching the streets from the darkened and watery alley, he stays put, careful not to be discovered knowing if he is spotted, it’s over.
“I’m Y/N. Thank you. For, you know.” She laughed; it was a beautiful laugh that I almost forgot to respond again.
I smirk at him. “The way you reacted just now, when I mentioned her name.”
“I’ll have 6 eggs, a big glass of orange juice, a banana, and some oatmeal please” said DeSean “ You’re one crazy kid” said the female bartender at IHop. “Yes ma’am, I might be crazy ,but ready for football this morning” DeSean responded swiftly. The bartender responded almost immediately saying “Damn right, hope you do well this morning, I’ll have that food out real quick honey”. DeSean waited for less than 5 minutes before chowing down on over 1000 calories. He exchanged some words with the bartender and he was off to football.
I looked at him, curiously. “I didn’t even notice that you left,” I mumbled. “Where are you going?”
She furrowed her brow. What did that mean? She started to ponder the question but had a nagging feeling she didn’t want the answer. “Since we ride north toward Tenoach, are you headed there?”
We drive up to the gate and Danny sticks his hand out and touches his thumb to a screen. Suddenly, the gate opens, and we pull into a parking spot with a sign that says NEW DELIVERIES and an arrow pointing to a garage door. Danny unlocks the car. I consider making a run for it, but after looking around at the fence and the guards in the towers above it, I rule out that option. Here I am, this is what I get. Being a writer I just keep thinking about what a great story this will make if I ever escape. Hell, I don’t even know where I’m going. Now I know what Mr. Kline meant when he said that God forbid these people know who I am or what I’m up to. I look at Danny who is talking to a man in a suit, probably telling him how I got there. I’m just awkwardly standing next to the taxi awaiting my next order. The man in the suit begins to approach me with Danny following behind him. Danny gets in the cab and drives away. The man in the suit puts his hand on my shoulder. We lock
Before I did anything else, I just had to soak up the pure awesomeness of this place. I mean, really, it wasn’t often that I was treated like a queen. I plopped myself on the bed, sinking in its fluffiness, until I forced myself to get up. Voices came from outside the window, and they sounded heated and angry, as if some pony found out her husband cheated on some skank.
His intriguing personality facinated and distracted me from the problem at hand; he could be dangerous. I should have known not to trust someone I didnt know to much about. I tried calling the police but signal was lost and all I heard was “Sorry, call was unavailable”. The cops were no help being out of reach. Being in a very obscure cabin away from the greater populous, nobody could hear me if I were to use a gun or more elaberate way to kill this conspicuous man. I knew deep down, something was wrong because it was obvious by the way he was acting. When I went to grab a knife, it wasnt as accessible as I thought. I could not obtain the knife because I wasn’t in reach of the table that it was on, a few feet further than expected, causing
One day in a college water pipe there was a peanut named peter, this peanut was special, he lived in a Skippy brand peanut butter jar in a city named Aquaville. One day he met a donut named Dylan. Peter met Dylan when he was walking down to the local coffee shop. That day was not normal in his usual seat was sitting a donut. As Peter looked around at him the donut turned and glanced at him and he said hi and ever since that day they were good friends. After about a year of working at the local grocery store he discovered something very wrong with the city. In his daily walk down to the gym, he saw a sewer hatch open and he couldn’t resist but to explore. He loved to explore he climbed down the ladder and walked a ways down when he saw the
I handed him the clipboard and he continued to stare at me. It was getting very creepy. I closed the door and went to my room. I looked through the bedroom to find him walking down the narrow path lined with flowers. He greeted a person wearing a fedora and a long tan coat. I caught the person’s face when he looked up at the window. My heart missed a beat as I thought about him seeing me. I thought he could see, but realized that he could not. My heart was beating faster than before. The mysterious person went to the left and the deliveryman went to the right.
