When Factories mine, it can have many effects on the Human Body. When there is pollution in the air our body is vulnerable to it. There can be many long term and short term effects on the human body. The most negative impacts that happen is inside of the body. When your body is exposed to the pollution in the air it effects how the human being can live. There can be a very high chance of getting cancer and chronic disease. Some of the short term effects is the following: Eye, Nose, Throat irritation. The repertory system can get infected. Including bronchitis headaches, nausea, allergic reactions and many medical conditions, such as asthma. Some times when people are effected with pollution everyday there is a high chance of getting diagnosed …show more content…
if a cell grows too large it cannot carry out these process efficiently. Cancer is when the cell process mitosis is uncontrolled, which means they grow too fast. they grow faster than normal cells, they can break away from groups of cells and travel to other places in the body. Cancer cells spend less time in Interphase therefore they are dividing more. When cancer cells are born there are two types of tumors that can be created in the human body. Benign Tumor: Benign Tumors have cells that do not migrate to any other parts of the body and do not harm other parts of the body. this tumor not that much of a significant threat to the human body. In all of these tumors cancer is cancer. When you find out that you have cancer you must get medical attention A.S.A.P. There can be things done to slower and stop cancer in the body. There is chemotherapy or surgery to remove the Tumors. Malignant Tumor These tumors have cells that can migrate to other parts of the body, potentially causing the cancer cells to spread to the body. therefor this tumor is very dangerous which can cause very serious harm to the …show more content…
There can be security mirrors in hall ways or at rooms. There can be mirrors at machines too, at the side of cars to detect any one behind them. In many mining factories there are many lights around the factory to keep sure the production is going well and as well for the workers to see. There are many ways of how light can be produced/ generated. but all of them work the same principal. promotion of electron in atoms. There can be LED lights or even Incandescent Lights as well. LED stands for Light Emitting Diodes which light is produced when negatively charged voltage is applied to it. Incandescent Light is when electric current passes through causing it to grow. There are many types of lights factories use to work. There can be lights for people to see or lights from the machines that are used for production. Sometimes these lights are very bad for the environment as well as for people’s eyes. The Light can hurt people’s eyes because when people are too much close to lights it can hurt the eye. The light can hurt the retina part of the eye, which can hurt a lot. When this happens regularly eventually the worker may need glasses or eye surgery. In most factories these light bulbs are not properly disposed of everyday 100% of the time. This causes many effects in the environment. When these light bulbs are not disposed properly they can affect the ecosystem as well creating climate change. There
Cancer is a disease that affects human somatic cells. It causes the cells to divide uncontrollably and form masses known as tumors. There are two different
Cells are constantly getting instructions from chromosomes to divide. Cancer forms when cells get instructions incorrectly and begin dividing too much and cells do not get a message to stop making cells so they continue to divide. When cells grow out of control, a tumor forms. A tumor that is malignant does spread.
Cancer starts with the normal cells in our bodies. Normal cells divide in processes called Mitosis and Meiosis which is how our bodies grow, heal and repair and when cells become old or are damaged, they die and new cells are created. However, when this cell division process goes wrong the cells become abnormal. Cell abnormalities occur when the cell makes errors whilst copying the genes. As the cell becomes more abnormal, the old and damaged cells do not die when they are supposed to but the new cells, that are supposed to go in place of the dead cells, are still produced. The extra cells divide uncontrollably which is how a tumour is formed.
There are a wide variety of cancer types. They all have several things in common, however. Each cancer starts with cells that become abnormal or cancerous. These cells reproduce and form a mass of cancerous cells. This mass is called a tumor. When the cancerous cells spread, or metastasize, they can impact other tissues, organs, and systems of the body. A second commonality among cancers is that when they are detected early, they are easier to treat and the treatments are more likely to work. In many cases, a cancer that is caught early can be completely destroyed.
“Cancer is the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells in the body. Cancer develops when the body’s normal control mechanism stops working. Old cells do not die and instead grow out of control, forming new, abnormal cells. These extra cells may form a mass of tissue, called a tumor. Some cancers, such as leukemia, do not form tumor”.(‘What is cancer?”) A tumor is the swelling of a part of the body, generally without inflammation, caused by an abnormal growth of tissue, whether benign or malignant. Benign, if the cells are benign they are not cancerous. It won't invade nearby tissues or spread to other areas of the body. Also, some types of benign tumors such as intestinal polyps are considered precancerous and are removed to prevent them becoming
There are two common effects that are used today. Those two effects are short-term effect and long-term effect. Some short-term effects are dilated pupils, nausea, hyper stimulation, and depression. Other short-term effects are panic and psychosis, increased rate of breathing, and contracted blood vessels. Long-term effects are permanent damage to blood vessels of the heart and the brain, liver, kidney, and lung damage. Other long-term effects are weight loss, tooth decay, sexual problems, reproductive damage (men and women), and infertility. The most disastrous victims of cocaine are babies. Babies that are born to mothers who use the drug throughout their pregnancy can have effects as well. Some babies that are not addicted suffer from
A tumor is an abnormal growth of tissues in the body. They can grow from any kind of tissue in the body, such as; bones, blood vessels, nerves, or any organ. There are two kinds of tumors. A benign tumor, which is a non-cancerous tumor that limit themselves to a certain spot and don't spread anywhere else, and once removed they usually won’t come back. Or, there’s the malignant tumor, a cancerous tumor that can spread throughout the body if not completely removed, and could destroy all the other tissues in the body.
There are many different forms of cancer, depending on your gender, that are looming in the shadows. The medical term for cancer is malignant neoplasm. It's a disease where a cell group divides beyond normal limits (uncontrolled growth), invades or destroys adjacent body tissue (invasion) and sometimes spreads to other body locations via blood or lymph (metastasis). According to a cancer treatment center, a benign tumor is differentiated from these malignant cancer properties because they are self-limited and do not invade or metastasize.
By definition, a cancer is a disease that is characterized by “controlled growth and spread of abnormal cells,” (Laini, online). According to Laino, cancer forms when there is a growth of abnormal cells. The abnormal cells also known as the cancer cells grow and forms a tumor in which will began to attack nearby body tissues and organs. Depending upon the various types of cancer, the cancer cells attacks different tissues and organs. As the tumor spreads, some
Cancer is caused by a malignant growth or tumour as a direct result on the uncontrolled division of abnormal cells in any part of the body. There are more than 100 different types of cancer, which each type of cancer being named after the organ of its origin. Normal cells divide uncontrollably into hyperplasia, then again into dysplasia before finally turning into cancer, although at the hyperplasia and dysplasia stage,
A tumor is a build up of old or damaged cells that have not been removed from the body. Cancer cells are able to build up through mutations allowing them to ignore signals to stop dividing or to not enter the process of apoptosis, also known as programmed cell death. A cancerous tumor is malignant, meaning that it can spread to nearby tissue. Some tumors can travel through the body through blood or the lymph system, cancers that do this are called metastatic. Metastatic cancer is one of the most difficult cancers to treat, and most treatment is either to prolong or relive some of the symptoms. Another type of tumor is benign, meaning that it cannot spread to nearby tissue, which is not cancerous, but can be life threatening if it is in a vital area such as the brain or heart. Cancer can be caused by various things, one of which being genetics inherited from parents. It also can arise during someone’s lifetime, an example of this would be smoking or radiation. Cancer cells are constantly mutating, and cells in the same tumor can be very different. This is why it is so hard to get rid of cancer, because researchers would have to find a common
“Cancer”, its a disease that have claimed the lives of millions, its a disease that has not been cured, and its a disease that have many different forms. There are many types of cancer. It can develop in almost any organ or tissue, such as colon, lung, skin, bones, breast or nerve tissue. Cancer is defined as “a malignant growth or tumor resulting from the division of abnormal cells.” Some of the body cells begin to divide without stopping and spreading into surrounding issues. As cells become abnormal, old and damaged cells survive somehow when they should die, and the new cells form when they are not needed. Cancers of the blood, such as leukemias generally do not form solid tumors. These cells can divide without stopping and may form growths called tumors.
Cancer is a term that classifies the compilation of diseases that may occur anywhere in the body due to rapid formation of abnormal cell growth. Normal cells develop into abnormal cells when there is damage to the DNA. Hyperactive reproduction of abnormal cells or cancer cells will develop into lumps that may either be benign or malignant. Benign masses are non-cancerous and usually remain in the same area from which they formed in the body. Malignant masses on the other hand are cancerous and tend to spread and multiply to more than one area in the body.
Sample duration, frequency and length: Sample collection duration varied, from 1-hour averages to 24 hour averages. Short-term monitoring studies can capture changes in air quality that can be used in calculations to assess preliminary acute short-term health risks when compared to calculated standards. Long-term health risks (non-cancer and cancer), can be obtained from 24-hour integrated samples. Risk is usually based on an assumed six month constant exposure.
Air pollution can affect our health in many ways with both short-term and long-term effects. Different groups of individuals are affected by air pollution in different ways. Some individuals are much more sensitive to pollutants than are others. Young children and elderly people often suffer more from the effects of air pollution. Air pollution has many effects on human health, affecting a number of different systems and organs. Effects range from minor upper respiratory irritation to chronic respiratory and heart disease, lung
