Run DJ, run! My sister, who's on the JV track team, was running really slow. (Title) We were running from a giant, fat soccer ball. (Adjectives) “Lets go, just one more block,” I screamed at her. We went inside the laboratory and slammed the door shut. Dr. Powell, a scientist, led us to the control room. “The ball is getting out of control,” Dr. Powell said to us. (Quote) Luckily, Dr. Powell had been working on a secret gamma blaster that will shrink any object back down to its original size. This all happened last year on October 21, 2034, when Dr. Powell was experimenting with soccer balls to make them glide more smooth, when he accidently injected growth hormones inside the soccer ball instead of the smooth hormones. Chase, pass me that …show more content…
Powell explained to us that the gamma blaster contained plasma, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide. (Series) In order to shrink the soccer ball to its normal size, we must shoot the ball with the gamma blaster three times. If you kill the growth hormones and the soccer ball will be back to normal. DJ and I volunteered to go out in the field, but Dr. Powell would not let us. After minutes of arguing, Dr. Powell finally agreed. Dr. Powell geared us up, and we were ready to go to combat with the soccer ball. Gamma blasters in our hands, DJ and I went out the back door to see where the soccer ball was. We could see the soccer ball in Manhattan, New York near the Hudson River. Which luckily was only four blocks away. As we ran towards the ball, many New York civilians run past us going the opposite directions. As soon as we got close enough to the soccer ball, I told DJ the plan. DJ was going to distract the soccer ball, while I try and shoot it with the gamma blaster three times. I counted to three, “1,2,3.” DJ runs out to the soccer ball’s direction and starts to dance. I get behind the ball and start shooting the soccer ball. I hit it once, I hit it twice, but I can’t hit it a third time. The soccer ball starts chasing me down 5th
Credibility material: This is a touchy subject for many animal lovers across the United States.
When your in a car what is it that your focus should be on: your car, the cars of others, the road, watching out for pedestrians, or watching for lights and signs? Well driving is all those thing put together and to add a phone to the mix is to many things for a single person to concentrate on. Some state have made it illegal for people to drive while using a hand held device and, I believe that is the right decision because while people are on their phones while driving they can: run into other car or hit pedestrians. Have you ever seen a car that's run a stop sign or light? Chances are you have and some of those times people are running late for something and don't notice it but i bet most times its because a person was too busy talking on their phone or even texting.
Persuasive speech outline purpose: To persuade my audience to donate blood through the American Red Cross. Introduction:
I slowly turned the silver handle and peaked inside. “Just on time! Take a seat,” A delighted young man in a black polo shirt said. I looked around the classroom to see twelve kids staring at me. I quickly made my way to the closest chair in reach. “Okay, welcome to the advanced golf camp of the First Tee of San Francisco! I’m your instructor, coach Daniel, if you don’t already know! alright, let’s not waste time and get right away to the course!” The man in black said. “Oh crap, I’m screwed,” I thought after realizing that I was in an advanced class. The colossal eighth graders stood up and headed outside. I was shaking, feeling like a small fish in a tank of sharks. We had a long walk until we approached a large grassy practice area. “Here is your club Mark, and how long have you been playing?” Coach Daniel asked while handing me a long club. “It’s my first time,” I quietly said while taking the club. “Well, do your best to keep up, but let me see a shot right now,” He said. I walked to a grassy golf stall and tried to grip my club with my sweaty, cold hands. I took a long swing and gave the ball a strong whack, only to see it fly six inches up and land in the grass, still in my arm’s reach. I felt miserable and embarrassed, and just wanted to hide my face. The other kids started hitting, and I was in awe as I saw the the ball effortly fly across the air. I gave it a few more attempts, but the results were the same. After
I just want to thank you for what you have accomplished for the California School District these past years. I do have one concern though, and I am sure you have looked into it before, but I would like you to reconsider the situation. In past years, many students have wondered why we do not have a soccer team. Having a soccer team would open up so many different paths in the high school for students, staff, and even the community.
George Mallory was one of the earliest climbers of Mt Everest, said that he did so “BECAUSE IT WAS THERE”. What a fantastic inspiring attitude. Do we still have that adventurous attitude that George had? How many of us ¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬have been on an adventure recently? (pause) Did you know that it has been scientifically proven outdoor adventures can treat and prevent a wide range of health problems. It can also make you smarter. Is anyone bad at maths around here? (pause) Well, here are some stats and big numbers for you. Stop recording
I wouldn’t worry, unless he is losing some weight and feeling lethargic. Has he started solids recently? May be that’s the reason he is feeling full. Most of the times, Baby takes what he needs for healthy growth. At this age, A rough guideline is to give your baby about 1-3 Tbsp of each item per feeding. Though you started solids, baby’s major food remains formula/BF so, initially, two meals a day should be sufficient. That’s what I read. Our son at this age was still dependent on milk and porridge. He started solids as his major food only after he completed a

Senators of the congress, Ladies, and Gentlemen, I am here in Washington today to inform you that generation through generation we have created new and modern inventions. Cars, running water, even electronics are all inventions all have helped us live easier smoother lives. People are planning to colonize Mars, and they have already gone to the moon. But, are space programs taking it too far?
Sweaty, a protester stands enraged on a grimy battleground of ideas, a speaker spouts controversial ideas as the crowd rages forward, and voters raise their hands as they make their solemn decision. The ideal which makes these amazing situations possible is written into many Constitutions across many nations: free speech. With the advent of the internet and the patriot act, this concept is being stretched to its limits, and people on all sides are looking to the past and future for answers. Some look hard at the negatives that free speech brings while others look at it’s upsides. When speech incites violence, is it still only words? When speech is limited, where does it end? To me, all types of speech, hateful or not, should be protected, because words have the power to change thoughts, and actions have lasting consequence. Free speech is a tool for the common era, and should be taken very seriously.
Daniel khun, I love you. Paul McCain, I love you. frank Dalton, I love you. Mrs. Jodi meeker archer, I love you too. As a matter of fact class, I love everyone in here. Now some of you might be appalled by me saying this. Many of you may be flattered by it; and a number of you might even wonder. Is this guy crazy? Who does he think he is? How could he have the audacity to tell me he loves me? To you I say this, I’m just a normal guy with a big heart; a guy practicing the correct ideology to remedy this evil world. And right now, I’m trying to influence you to abide by the same system. A system that is so natural and so pure, but is often revered as a weakness or an enigma that should be avoided at all cost. As a matter of fact, I believe
I was a very conceited third grader. All children have the tendency of overconfidence; I was no exception. But back in third grade, it was even worse.
Last time I checked, roads were made for cars, right? Now, if you’re a driver, how many times has a bike crossed your path? When you’re heading into your driveway, there’s a high chance of puny little kids riding around on their tricycle, blocking your way, and crying hysterically once you honk your horn at them. You know what’s more aggravating? When those puny little kids have their parents by their side—and those parents aren’t doing a thing to help!
The next station used targets and balls for the learning exercise. Tracy was one of the few females that was able to get the balls in each shot. When the ball was thrown back to her for the next shot, her reaction time was
