Some of Simple Tutoring’s competition will be Sylvan Learning located in Coon Rapids, Minnesota, Minneapolis Tutoring located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Home Tutoring Twin Cities located in St. Louis and St. Paul, Minnesota. Simple Tutoring will be competing with them on their reading and math programs, but again we are looking at end results. They are focusing on in the classroom and homework. A disadvantage we do have is we are starting up and we will need to market ourselves in the industry so that we become known. When looking at the competition the biggest competition for personal onsite near the Simple Tutoring location will be Sylvan Learning, because they are well established and known throughout the United States and locally. All the competition offers online services. We do recognize that they all help children and use different methods as we are all trying to achieve the same results. We all want to boost performance and help the child develop either online or onsite. Getting our niche in the market will be something we want to accomplish in the early stages of the business. With Sylvan being close there will be competition with them which will come down to the customer’s needs and the type of service they are looking for. Otherwise the location we have selected offers opportunity as you can see by the details that have been provided.

E. By 1970s, "one of fastest growing cities in United States, "(Yarsinske, 2002, p. 194).
The United States of America experienced a nearly one percent population growth rate in 2014 (Lafayette Parish, Louisiana). This growth rate is higher in comparison to Britain, France, and other first world countries. To many, this statement is not surprising. There is always an exaggerated news story about the increasing number of people immigrating to America and how it affects the country. Each woman in America is replacing herself and her spouse by giving birth to an average of nearly two babies in her lifetime (Louisiana). As America grows, more and more people migrate to cities because, generally, living in a city provides an easier life. Cities have plentiful jobs, more housing, and a multitude of places to shop and to eat. Cities also
Internal summary--There are cities all over the country that are larger, more rapidly growing than are the cities targeted by contraction.
254 counties make up the state of Texas. The Dallas metropolitan area is much larger, and is one of the fastest growing in the country. The 12-county Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington (DFW) metropolitan area has a population of 6,985,579 and is expected to be 7,960,117 by 2020 (Texas Population 2020 Projections, 2014). Nearly one million new residents in the DFW metropolitan area will cause more traffic congestion, the need for new jobs and more housing. People normally like to live closer to their employers, so the areas with the best jobs will see faster population growth. Cities and counties need to compete for companies much like they did with Toyota. Toyota moved their U.S.
Advertising their product in student areas has proven effective as it mainly appeals to teenagers.
As you can see from Graph 2, Scarborough has the fastest rate of growth from 1961 to 1981; however, its population drops by 26.99 % from 1981 to 1991.
There are also other factors that could explain the big differences between these cities. The ethnic and racial makeup of the people living there and their educational levels could be a big difference. To really explain the increase or decline in both these cities is difficult because the two areas that I choose are so very different in population is really the biggest difference.
These types of services might be of special interest to the LEALES members considering, that Latino students because of their racial and socio-economic background tend to come largely from under-resourced, understaffed, underperforming, and inadequately funded schools. (Saenz & Ponjuan, 2009) This often means that the teachers at the schools were underprepared and had a high turnover rate. This might be one of the reasons that 41% of Latino students require remediation courses and only 13% of Hispanics met the ACT readiness benchmark for all 4 subjects: English, reading, math, and science. (National Conference of State Legislators, n.d.) Therefore, the tutoring services might be very beneficial to some LEALES members. Additionally, as first-generation college students LEALES members are also more likely to lack study and time management skill (Engle, Bermeo, & O 'Brien, 2006), something which LARC could also help address.

If I were to move anywhere in the Midwest, Minneapolis, Minnesota would be the place to go. Not only is the city transcendent in , the state has some astounding features. Unemployment is unheard of, with a rate of 3.9% statewide. Minnesota isn’t known for its mountains, but they do have great cross-country skiing. I love skiing and would hate to lose that when I move to Minnesota. An eminent trait of Minnesotans is that they tend to speak their mind and put forth an effort to be gentle while they do it.
In Minneapolis, 337 new construction units were permitted 3rd quarter of 2015, a decrease from the previous quarter, as well as the same quarter of the previous year (Minneapolis City of Lakes, 2015). The graph (right) shows the need for apartments in downtown Minneapolis, because the units are still higher than single family homes. The location of single family units are located in the southern half of the city by Lake Harriet and the Longfellow community. While the multi-family buildings are permitted in the center of the city. The demographic for multi-family housing is more
Lastly, the districts community outreach programs for the amount of ELs in the district is outstanding, with one-on-one meetings and communication, the families are constantly kept in the loop and current with their student’s learning. Along with that, the school also provides summer camp for ELs and additional supports. There are no improvements that I would suggest to this portion of the program at this time.
In recent years, local government planners focused their development plans across sectors in the community to maximize the use of resources. Thus, the need for detailed small-area statistics also rises as data input for situational analysis, planning and
