Sony's Playstation 4 is the Next Generation Video Game Console

If you've never touched a video game controller in your life, but do have avid players in your household, you may be in for a bewildering month. That's because we're on the verge of what the gaming industry excitedly calls 'a new console generation'. In short, the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, once the most powerful games machines on the planet are being replaced – the former by the Xbox One, the latter by the PlayStation 4 (PS4).

Another reason the Playstation 4 is better than the Xbox One is the software. As stated by Techradar.com,

Some features for the Xbox include paddles, changeable buttons, and adjustable triggers. Some Playstation features include adaptive triggers, built-in microphone, and touchpad. Both controllers have the same buttons and controls that provide unique features to enhance the gaming experience. The final topic is the gameplay on both consoles. As time went on, they both upgraded in performance and graphics.

Through the years of all the generations consoles Microsoft’s Xbox and Sony’s PlayStation both prove to be, arguably, number one. The flames of the console war since the release of the latest generation of consoles back in 2013 have been set ablaze by fans and gamers alike. The PS4 is much thinner and looks better than an Xbox One. I mean really who wants a huge gaming system anyways? Unlike the Xbox One the PS4 has the cooling vent on the back of the system, so if you need to anything on it you could without overheating it. The release of the next-generation gaming consoles has left the gaming industry is in frenzy. With so much demand for the consoles it feels as though people are ready to give away their legs to get either the PlayStation 4 or the X-Box One. With two of these monstrous gaming devices available, the decision to just choose just one console seems to be, for some, a life and death decision. Many people, as a result of not conducting the proper research, fail to realize how easy of a decision this is. The Xbox One X is going to be a massive step up in gaming consoles and PlayStation does not have the hardware to compete yet. I believe that PlayStation is going to be working on a console to hit back at the Xbox One X. Nintendo Switch had a very positive response so they may carry on making new Nintendo devices similar to the Switch. Also if Xbox and PlayStation are stepping up the power of their consoles then Nintendo might have to make more power out of their console too. Also Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo are going to have extra competition once again as Atari have announced they are going to be re-entering the console business after years of absence. Atari will be restarting their console market by releasing the Atari Box.

The Performance of the PlayStation 4 is much easier because the program system is simple to use and has all of content organized and easy to use. The Playstation 4 comes with apps like Netflix, Hulu plus, NBA, and VUDU.In addition, Live Playstation 4 allows the user to see other people’s content and to play with other people. On the Playstation 4 you can navigate at your own pace, but there are a minimum number of apps to choose from on the home screen.

For the industry analysis, we are certain of sales since the PS4 is a consumer product particularly. For that reason, the buyer has a high bargaining power on the product. The market for casual gamers has increased seriously and sales increased after decreasing price of the PS3. Due to the uniqueness of every video game console and the games buyers have bargaining power. A small difference might be significance an extra hundred dollars for an intense gamer. People have more aware to the price difference because they play video games more casually and as a result they have more bargaining power. Buyers have a reasonable amount of power in the video game industry in particular with Nintendo. Although Microsoft and Sony have other sources of revenues, the major source of income comes from the sales of games and game consoles.

Microsoft with the first mover advantage built a large customer base and has the largest library of games. The PS3 console has the best raw power and blue-ray capabilities. In all years from 1994 to 2014 no one was bored at all with these two consoles and they both have millions of games to play and multi-platforming for the same game to be on the other console if other people prefer the xbox or playstation.
