The 2300 block of State Road 25 W. was closed for more than three hours due to a fatal crash Sunday morning. The Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office was called out to a serious crash on State Road 25 W. around 11 a.m. Emergency personal from Shadeland Volunteer Fire & Rescue had to extricate the drivers from the vehicle. There were two people in the vehicle, the driver was taken to IU Health Arnett Hospital and the passenger died on scene. According to witnesses, the vehicle was traveling down SR 25 at a high rate of speed. Deputies on scene said, they are unsure what caused the driver to crash. They say the car left the road and went airborne hitting two trees in the front yard of a home. Deputies are currently investigating the crash.
Officer Amenn, one of the officers that arrived at the scene after a call they received about the accident stated “The car was completely recked, however, Karl was still alive and the paramedics did their best to revive him but unfortunately he died later at the scene as he had many dangerous and life threatening injuries”
Witness state that vehicle 1 ran the red light heading north on N. State St. and the white Jeep had a green heading west on W. Flint St. One witness over head the driver of vehicle 1 state the light was yellow and turning red when she went through the intersection.
On 07/17/2016 at approximately 0618 hours, I was notified by Detective M. Carter #181968 of a traffic fatality involving two (2) Toyota Camrys on Broadway Avenue, west of Pine Lawn Avenue. Upon arrival, I observed the involved vehicles at final rest on the outside edges of Broadway Avenue. I observed heavy damage to the front of both vehicles. I made contact with Deputy R. Lariz #4826 and was informed the driver of the red Toyota Camry was transported by Hillsborough County Fire Rescue to Tampa General prior to my arrival. I assumed the responsibilities as the lead detective and Detective M. Carter took the responsibilities as the scene detective. Deputy J. Winters #246608 was assigned the DHSMV traffic crash report
Approaching the scene from the east, HCSO Deputies had the entire intersection of Memorial Highway and Kelley Road closed to traffic. I saw a maroon in color Ford E150 cargo van in the inside through lane of eastbound Memorial Highway, facing in a southeast direction. The van had sustained damage to the front of the vehicle. Police said the driver and passenger of that car, along with the 17-year-old driver were taken to area hospitals. Their injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
On 08-30-2015, at approximately 0627 hours, Yusel Cairo Ceballos (Driver 1), was operating a 2009 Mercedes Benz C-Class C300, (Vehicle 1), northbound on Sheldon Road, north of Flora Street. For reasons unknown, Driver 1 lost control of his vehicle on a straight roadway and began to rotate and was unable to regain control of his vehicle. Vehicle 1 drove off the east side of the roadway and onto grass and a brick paver landscaping display. Vehicle 1 struck brick paver columns and as a result of the crash, the driver of Vehicle 1, Yusel Cairo Ceballos, sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.
All of the other occupants, including the sole person in the Corolla, were taken to area hospitals with serious injuries. The jaws of life extricated some of the victims and two were taken
V1 and V2 both stoped in red light on the right turning lane of Renassiance West. V1 did not see V2 still stopped in red light and struck V2 from behind. Both vehicle had no apparent damages. The crash is non reportable at this time. Both parties exchanged information to resolve the matter among themselves at this time. V1 is at fault for this crash.

The victim began to dial 911 and the intoxicated tried to take his phone away from him. The other unknown male apologized for the incident and gave him $39.00 dollars to clean his vehicle. The group then called for another Uber and left the location.
