Have you ever wondered why there are huge statues and memorials all around the world? These are, in my opinion, one of the greatest things about this world. What great wonders do these huge towers, statues, and mountain carving sculptures do? They make civilizations realize what they went through and what people changed the world. They are used to make those who are important, known to man. The public is connected through these massive creations. Nations are made stronger with these simple memorials according to Savage in his article about the monument wars.. “Why?” you may ask, but the simple answer is always going to be, there wouldn’t be a nation without some of these men and women. When creating a monument, it should be understood that
The purpose of many monuments is to honor and protect the legacy of some of America's greatest heroes. Kirk Savage in the book Monument
In order for America to evolve with the history, the best option would be to keep the Confederate monuments in the eye of the public only if a supplemental plaque is added since this solution could work in the favor of most of the nation and will be able to satisfy their basic needs. White supremacists have not only spoken about unhesitantly hurting others for wanting to remove these Confederate monuments, but dozens of them have committed to unspeakable crimes of violence to preserve the meaning behind the statues. This is a very complex matter that can be mentally, physically, and economically fatal to the United States’ citizens and the future generations to come. Countless blood-soaked homicidal videos and pictures roam the world wide
In 1861 there was a war that turned north against south family against family. After their war the created monuments that represent the brave leaders that fought for what the believe in. Now there is controversy over if the monuments should be destroyed. This has created a titanic fight between tow sides one side is for the monuments being destroyed and the other side dose not want it to be destroyed. I believe that the monuments should not be destroyed. I believe they should not be destroyed because we need to remember our history. Finally is that it will not stop the violence.
many people create meaningless buildings and sculptures just to please the eye which is why they need to people need to identify reasons a memorial would benefit them.
The idea of keeping monuments in public spaces is a challenging choice for us all because for those who don’t like the idea of the monuments being removed they can become really violent much so that in the article “Battle Scars”
Confederate monuments, are they good or bad, should we keep them or tear them down. The statues are a big conflict between is it offensive or we need it. One statue supported slavery which angered or offended people who lived in the area, slaves were held in camps (landrieu). Statues like that should be taken down only, one that support anti slavery or something good should stay up.
I believe that confederate monuments should be kept up. They do represent harsh times but they are a great representation of what we should not do. Therefore, they should be kept up.
In the United States, there is roughly 700 confederate monuments. They are spread out over 31 states and the District of Columbia. Most of these statues were built between 1890 and 1950, approximately 25 years after the Civil War, which ended in 1865. Although there were commemorative markers or memorials that mourned solders who had died. These earlier markers tended to be placed in cemeteries, while the monuments of today were placed at city squares and in front of state buildings. There are various opinions as to why the monuments were constructed. They tended to glorify leaders of the Confederacy like General Lee, Jackson, and former president of the Confederacy Jefferson Davis. The monument was originally intended to teach values to people,
The purpose of this report is to inform Fenves that statues have deeper meaning and they are part of a history that defines our present. Changing and replacing monuments is disrespectful towards donors, Texans and soldiers who died in the war. Looking over these sentiments and issues, the Task Force came up with five options.

Many people enjoy monuments, but they are unaware of the controversial issue involved. Most agencies or groups have the right intentions of constructing a monument, but do not realize the public opinion of the case. Monuments intend to recognize a person, place, or event. When you think about a monument, you would most likely think about the memorial informing people of something significant in history. It is not the intention to bring the entire history lesson about the subject, but doing so would shame it. Although monuments are intentionally made in commemoration, some do not express the whole truth and some are absolutely meaningless.
"Monuments are the grappling-irons that bind one generation to another." Everyone will always have memories and stories from the past history. Why should monuments be made? Are they even important? Yes, monuments are important. Monuments give the people that lived through the event, something to look at and be reminded of what happened. They also show people that did not live through it, how important it was to the older generation or other people. another thing that monuments do is it brings people together, it helps the youth understand past struggles. Monuments are something that commemorate a famous person or event they also show what has happened in the past.
Monuments are used to memorialize and honor moments, individuals and events of the past. Some monuments do this better than other monuments. In creating a monument there are three essential factors a group or agency should consider to make the monument as effective as possible: location, design features, purpose and backstory. Why these factors? Location and design factors play a massive role in the reception the monument will receive, based on its environment, size and looks a monument will be perceived differently. The purpose and backstory are the two single most important factors to consider in creating a monument. The monuments history, its reason, is the reason just? Is the purpose proper? Does it accurately memorialize the subject? All these questions come with the purpose and backstory of a monument.

A phenomenon is a fact situation that id observed to exist or happen, especially one whose cause or explanation is in question, in other words something that is hard to explain. In the bible Mary a women who was approached by the angel Gabriel and was told that she was selected to be the mother of Jesus. She was married to Joseph at the time and a virgin when conceiving Jesus. This is why she was given names like Mother Mary, St Mary the Virgin and Virgin Mary. Mary is honored by many Christians and considered the most meritorious saint of the religion. Since Mary conceived Jesus, her title of his mother makes her very important in the many Catholic and Christian based religions. It is believed by those who admire her, was assumed into heaven at the end of her earthly life and makes regular visits to Earth to perform miracles and deliver messages like "repent" and "quit sinning." One of her ways of communicating to people on earth is to drip liquid from the eyes of statues. Apparently the weeping is a way of showing that she is crying for our sinfulness behavior.
