People have the tendency to categorize everything, including themselves. It is human nature to do this to make a complex world simpler. This categorizing system is better known as stereotyping. Stereotyping is an act of the subconscious mind and is not something that can be easily ignored. However, it is completely our decision to act on the subconscious categorizing or not.
