Horatio Lloyd Gates was born January 1st, 1727 in Essex, England to the house keeper and butler to the Duke of Leeds. Horatio joined the British army at age 22 and fought for 24 years until leaving to Virginia. Horatio Gates left England just after the war was finished and when he had his first son, Robert to which he wanted to move to Virginia and buy a plantation. Horatio later leaves to fight in an army once again but this time its the Revolutionary war and he fights for the Patriot cause.

Steven Jobs was an entrepreneur who wanted to bring power to the people. He had many experiences to motivate his creativity and drive to create a better place. He grew up experiencing different places and life altering changes that helped him find a purpose in life, and this was to revolutionize the world through technology. Steven Jobs travelled to a few different states in the US allowing him to meet different people. Some of these connections lasted a lifetime and had a lot to offer. These connections were relationships, friends, loved ones, and business partners that helped him achieve his goal. Steve also travelled to India and studied abroad for his spirituality; looking for a purpose. There is no reason to doubt that Steve found his purpose in life. When Jobs came back to the United States, he created Apple and it developed into a tool to realize his dreams. Steve Jobs went through many ups and downs throughout his career, but he never stopped giving to the world.

This is highly effective leadership, trying to improve the design of the organisation in order to achieve more efficiency.

I believe that Bill Gates does face scarcity, and he most likely does face choices too. He is like any other person in the world and is faced with whether to do this or that, or get this or that. I think that there may be some things that are just not attainable to him, because he desires something else as well, so therefore a choice has to be made. I believe that opportunity cost plays a role in his life as well, because although he has money, he is a person that has to make a decision. As for everyone facing scarcity, I believe we all do, it is just a thing of life that sometimes it is not feasible to get something due to lack of resources and so on. I do not believe that there are any exceptions because there is just not enough resources

Steve Ballmer, a Harvard graduate is well known in the business world as a CEO & co-owner of Microsoft and owner of the L.A Clippers. On March 24, 1956 in Detroit Michigan, the world was blessed with Steven Anthony Ballmer. While growing up he was raised in Farmington Hills, Michigan which was an affluent community. His father, Frederic Henry Ballmer was a Swiss immigrant while his mother, Beatrice Dworkin was Jewish. Before he attended college he went to many different kinds of schools. One of the schools that he went to was Detroit Country Day School for high school, he then graduated from there. After graduating from Detroit Country Day School he attended a college prep school at Lawrence Technological University for engineering class. When he took his SAT he scored 800 on the math section, and then became a National Merritt Scholar. He then went to college at Harvard University, where he was manager for the football team, and he also worked on The Harvard Crimson

Gates held 45 percent of the company's 24.7 million shares and became an instant millionaire at age 31. Gates's stake at that time was $234 million of Microsoft's $520 million. Over time, the company's stock increased in value and split numerous times. In 1987, Bill Gates became a billionaire when the stock raised to $90.75 a share. Since then, Gates has been at the top, or at least near the top, of Forbes' annual list of the top 400 wealthiest people in America. In 1999, with stock prices at an all-time high and the stock splitting eight-fold since its IPO, Gates's wealth briefly topped $101 billion.

Steven Anthony Ballmer has been the CEO of Microsoft since January 2000. He graduated from Detroit Country Day School, Michigan. He later joined Harvard University, where he studied Math and Economics. During that time, he lived down the hall from Bill Gates, Microsoft’s founder and Chairman of the Board.

Microsoft was founded in 1975, and is the worldwide leader in software, services, and solutions (Career). Microsoft is proud to offer great products and employ outstanding people. Previous Microsoft CEO, Steve Ballmer once said, “There are many things that are true about Microsoft. We have big goals, big dreams, and big aspirations for the future. We are both competitive with our products and in the way we attract and retain talent. For me, the most important factor is competition for talent, because I know our success comes from the people who work here” (Foley).
