Ask anyone what the number one debated topic in the world is today and you are almost guaranteed to hear “abortion”. It isn’t hard to imagine why this topic would leave such a bitter taste in some people’s mouths. Infants, and moreover children in general, are almost a form of an idol in our culture. The pure and innocent natures of children make the people around them, or at least most of them, fall head over heels in love with them. When someone decides to terminate a pregnancy, not only is it a huge setback to our culture, but our moral and ethical beliefs as well. This issue, unfortunately, is not a one size fits all scenario. Many situations can be considered when talking about the issue of abortion. Throughout this paper, I will be reflecting on the matter of abortion from my own personal perspective in general, in cases of rape, poor quality of life, eminent danger to child and/or mother, and incest.

Abortion has been a controversial subject for centuries across the globe. Although the fetus may not be scientifically a human being, there is budding humanity within it; and hence trying to terminate fetus must be considered as criminal offense of killing a human being. Many people see it as the mother killing a baby that is not born yet and ending someone's life. "Since it is unable to survive outside of the womb, they argue that the embryo should not be seen as a being that is separate from the mother's body."(Williams 12) The embryo should not be seen as human being because it is stated not be seen as anything other than the mother.

Abortion is the most devastating experience that a woman can go through. The term refers to any early on ejection of an unborn human baby from the womb, whether by gobbling abortion pills or referring to any other horrifying method to stop intentionally at one’s pleasure an unborn baby’s life. Although being a controversy, abortion will always be a genocide whether it is allowed by law or not. When trying to find the purpose of the legality of abortions, we stay speechless at the shame and the inhumanity of such a practice since nowadays all abortions are completed for social purposes than for medical issues. How is it possible to allow the destruction of weak tiny babies who didn’t ask to be made then killed with such a criminality and savagery?

Many people don’t quite understand abortion. It is a very serious and disturbing act performed by pregnant women and doctors. When people fully understand what abortion is, they usually have a certain opinion. Their opinion may include if they are pro-choice or pro-life. There are many different reasons and opinions for this global issue. The dangerous and unreasonable process of terminating an unborn child from a mother’s womb has had a negative and positive affect on the world. Abortion has been exercised because of many different reasons, despite holding extreme controversy and having many negative effects on the mothers after the process.

How would you feel if someone took your life away? Think about it like this, you didn’t do anything wrong and all you wanted to do was live.
