Good business leaders create a vision, articulate it, passionately own it, relentlessly drive it to completion– with a little intervention along the way (Jack Welch) “Strategic intervention is planned, deliberate, and focused effort to improve business or organization growth, relevance, viability; as this systematic implementation of change is intended to impact business basics; beliefs, attitudes, values, cultural challenge in the current business structure (BizShifts-Trends, 2012 par. 1).” Most importantly, strategic intervention is used to facilitate severe change in organizations in order to compete within this fast changing business environment; for example, technology, global competition and the emerging-shrinking-expanding markets (BizShifts-Trends, 2012). This intervention formulates the framework for implementation of change to achieve the desired outcomes and also to obtain a positive result on maintaining sustainability of the organization. Furthermore, formulation includes, to identify the critical business drivers, select the one that provides the best results, to analyzed it, to developed intervention strategy, to assign responsibility, and to decide how often to monitor the results (BizShifts-Trends, 2012).
