“You need to be able to manage stress because hard times will come, and a positive outlook is what gets you through,” stated by Marie Osmond (Stress). This quote moves to the forefront of my thoughts when I become aware of the stress that arises in my life. Individuals react to stress in various ways, which makes it difficult to address the causes of stress and reactions to it. It is challenging to find underlying contributors of stress when one has not frequently experienced this feeling. (15) I needed to determine what caused my stress and what my initial reactions to certain stresses were to understand how to control my stress. It took me years to learn my stress produces and how my reactions changed with each situation I faced. I responded to stress with positive and negative physical, emotional, and mental responses. (BE4) Freshmen year of high school I learned school and family had become prevalent stressors in my life. I had to learn to counteract my stress in order to focus on prioritizing my activities and responsibilities. This is true still today. I react differently to school stress and family stress, because of varying.
(2) My school stress is primarily self-influenced, and my family stress, primarily externally influenced. (9) Grades, deadlines, and extracurricular activities – these are just a few of the many aspects of school that lead to my stress. It is important to have good grades, which can be achieved by studying and getting my work in on time, but
