Success and its elements As we all fold the page on an academic year, for some of us this might have been the most important year of our lives. As we end school and prepare our brains for the next phase, we indulge our thoughts in the prize that everyone dreams of, what some would call ‘The Pinnacle of Civilization’. Our minds drift off thinking of Success, and at that instant we tremble, panic and curl into the corner, as the shadow of the obstacles that will stand in our path appears across the horizon. Today, I’ll try to help us all by identifying the critical elements behind success. I am not claiming that I hold the key, but maybe together we can sniff out the truth behind it.
To start with: Confidence is the belief in your abilities, your capabilities, your attitude and your Opinion, Freedom of inner-doubt and conflict. It is known as the memory of success and the key to the city of achievements. The positive feeling of one’s ability to accomplish any certain or general activities in life, a belief that one’s self and capabilities are equal to most any task.
That might sound a little complicated and threatening. My Mother always tells me: “Nobody is perfect, you’re better than nobody, but nobody is better than you.” And that is precisely the root of confidence, the belief that you can achieve anything, the way anybody else can. No matter the odds, you can do what you want, because you believe you can.
Confidence is the difference between feeling unstoppable and
Having the mind and determination to become successful isn’t an easy task. Success isn’t considered a gift, it should be a hard task to achieve and it matters how it is accomplished. Success
Being confident goes beyond just being proud of yourself; In Otto’s view it's about taking extraordinarily big risks. For example Otto was taken from his orphanage to the H.I.V.E. campus where he could have complained but, instead he was confident in himself and the teachers that ,although this place was new and out of ordinary, it still was safe. Otto Malpense gained his confidence when he was a child; His orphanage was threatened by the Mayor that it would be closed down because of its disastrous condition but, Otto didn’t give them a chance so, he made a plan and told all the kids in the orphanage. His plan could have had a tiny flaw and that would have shut down the orphanage
I believe in the beauty of confidence. Confidence is truly a defining factor in self-recognized beauty. I believe that confidence is one of the most important traits that an individual can possess. To perceive confidence is not solely to feel pride in oneself, but to recognize the strength that lies in the presence of a single individual. To feel the power of emotions that can exist, the wonder of thoughts that are able to ring inside a free mind too. To feel strength in a crowded room is to be mighty. To sit down beside champions of the same sport and to not feel an urge to compare oneself to others in any manner but for inspiration. Letting only my eyes wander to the appearance and the interviews of my competition, but for the sole purpose of improving myself. To settle for less than I already am because of someone else is a crime I have the power to commit, as well to prevent. People are so much fiercer and more powerful than their minds will ever lead them to believe. To feel dignity blossom inside a mind and soul is to allow a heart the ease of knowing that it is at rest inside a chest that it
Not having a strong sense of confidence can cause problems such as being easily influenced, having trouble making the right decisions, and getting involved in unhealthy relationships. Developing a strong sense of identity and self esteem is important because we must first learn how to understand and love ourselves before we can allow anyone else to. I am confident because I know who I am and what I want in live. I am driven and goal oriented and I will stop at literally nothing to get what I want. Being confident in myself has allowed me to express myself in a variety of ways without worrying whether or not people are going to judge me. I’m a big believer in “look good, feel good, do good” so I always try to look my best even if I’m feeling not-so-confident on that particular
Nothing is more important in life than having positive self-esteem and a positive outlook on life. With positive self-esteem, a person can accomplish just about anything they put their mind to. Developing self-esteem starts from the day a baby is born and continues throughout their life, but unfortunately, this development is not always complete for some by the time they are adults. If we have low confidence in ourselves and our ability to succeed, it’s time to take another look at how we can build confidence. First of all, it’s important to recognize and believe that positive
There is nothing wrong with being confident, but what if you are overly confident? Everyone has something that they are good at and it is alright if people are better at something than you are. It is never good to think of yourself as better than anyone else or that you are of higher power than anyone else. However, it is also not good to bring people down if they are not as good at something as you are, at least they are trying. If you are not the best at something that should not discourage you or make you want to give up on it, it should make you want to work harder to get even better. In the movie The Nightmare Before Christmas Tim Burton uses the characters Jack Skellington, Oogie Boogie and Dr. Finkelstein to show that is not good to be egotistic for the reason that it could lead to failure in any type of situation.
Robert C. Meredith website “True Success: What is it” as the name suggests is a website that takes a deeper look into defining success. Similar to theme of Outliers the author not only question success but investigates it. Meredith feels that it is achieved though goals help from family, one’s career and even one’s health. I think this would be appealing to students but also an effective tool to help adolescents understand that there is no distinct way to achieve success. Similar to Gladwell he also compares others lifestyle to help prove the point that success can be achieved in various ways. From visiting the website I would want adolescents to have a deeper understanding of what is success to them means and understand everyone definition
I believe that having this self-confidence is necessary in our time and age where the social forces at large always try to push us into different
After reading the article Confidence Can Help You Achieve Anything written by Andrew Coleman, it gave me an answer why it is so important to have self-confidence in our lives. The author gives some excellent life experiences to demonstrate that self-confidence is one of the most important elements to be successful.
The confidence is built upon the esteem and the belief in oneself to be good or worthy enough to be capable of aiding others.
“Confidence is like a muscle: the more you use it, the stronger it gets”. The reference to confidence being a muscle suggests the more someone works on themselves can improve the way they think and act. Having confidence can have a really positive impact on people’s day to day life, as well as their ability to achieve the things they want to do. The thing about confidence is that there is no official measure of; if they feel confident then they probably are. People with no confidence tend to be down on themselves and don’t believe they can do anything right. Having no confidence can make a person’s life miserable. So the first time they gain confidence in themselves, they become a better and stronger person. And once they have it no one can tell them any different about themselves because they know what they are able to do. By someone honoring who they are and what they truly prefer in life, it creates an environment of confidence. They’re allowing themselves to be comfortable and express themselves. In turn, they may attract the right people, opportunities and more in life. When the right people and opportunities come along, it makes people feel confident because things are easy. The origin of confidence comes from early 15th century middle French or directly from Latin confidentia, from confidentem means to “firmly trusting,
Confidence, according to Dictionary.com, is defined as “full trust; belief in the powers, trustworthiness, or reliability of a person or thing” and/or “belief in oneself and one's powers or abilities”. Confidence is knowing what you are doing and being proud of the work you did. There is good confidence and bad confidence. Good confidence is doing your best work on something, and knowing 100% that it has accomplished its purpose. Bad confidence is also heard as being over-confident. This is where you or someone else believe that he or she can do no wrong. Everything that person does, in their mind, is always correct, and everyone else around he or she saying anything different is
More and more opportunities automatically come the way of the person with a good self-confidence. In short, success flows to those who have a genuine self-confidence.

Most of life's situations are learning experiences. People can learn what activities are right or wrong for them by experiences these emotions in different situations. These learning experiences can take place at home, school, the workplace, or anywhere else. The three major experiences that have given me confidence in my ability to learn have all taken place at Penn State University.
