Main Intro: It does not matter what your age is, where you come from, or where you are living right now. We all share something in common; the desire to be successful. The dictionary definition of success is “the favorable or prosperous termination of attempts or endeavors; the accomplishment of one’s goals” (Dictionary.com). Some people define success as being happy, loving, faithful, wealthy, famous, and powerful. Even though success can be achieved by anyone, it does not always come easy. To succeed, you have to be able to endure and overcome the challenges life throws at you, because, in the end, all of that hard work and suffering will pay off.

Work 2: If individuals do not work hard to succeed, then success cannot be achieved. If we put hours or years into hard work, it will impress others, and show us that we can reach our goals. Michael Phelps, known as one of the greatest Olympic athletes of all time is the definition of hard work. He started swimming at the age of seven, and now every time he swims in a competitive race, he sets new world records that cannot be achieved by any old swimmer. Phelps trained almost every day of the year, and this did not only include swimming. Michael Phelps is a good representation of how hard work leads to success because he is now not only known as one of the greatest swimmers but the greatest Olympic athlete of all time.

Work 3: Academic success is what every student wants, but is something not all students are prepared to work for. Most students believe that the successful people do not put any work into their academics. They think that the successful students are only gifted, and everything comes easy for them. That ideology is false because the most successful students put the most work in. It does not matter how intelligent one is, it matters how much effort you put into achieving your academic goals.
