Forget Tomorrow
The book I read is called Forget Tomorrow.by The author is Pintip Dunn. In the story a girl named Callie lives in a world where all kids receive their memory at age seventeen, for Callie her memory is that she kills her little sister that is gifted. The only help she has is her crush Logan. While she is in jail Logan rescues her. In the book it takes us on Callie’s Callies adventure on how she will save her sister from herself.
The three main characters are Callie who receives the memory that will kill her sister, Logan who is Callies crush and helps her escape from jail, and Jessa Callie’s Callies little sister who she will kill. One of the conflicts in the story is that Callie is

When she walks in the room she decides that she won’t be killing her little sister, she will be killing herself. She drops the antidote on the floor so it shatters and stabs herself with a knife. Before she drops to the floor Logan catches her to try and save her but nothing is going to work.
The conclusion of the story is she saves her little sister. Even though it was a sad ending she did what she knew was best and what she wanted to do. Jessa will be fine but they might find out when they figure out that she has gifted. Logan and the mom end up alright. It was a good and sad happy ending.
I think the moral of the story is that to never take your friends and family for granted. One moment you can have a family and friends but the next you are stranded. If you work hard enough you can do anything to save someone, or just your relationship with your friends and family. Even if it's not a happy ending, if you tried and did your best you should be proud. And in the end if you are happy that is all that matters. I would recommend this book to many teens. It is a very adventurous book that is really fun to read and get your mind off things that are happening in your life. I learned a lot of life lessons from the book. With the amount of time here on Earth make it

I find the theme in this book to be something that an anyday person or child would experience in a day or much longer piece of time. Any person can experience times of confusion and emotional instability, but if that person sticks it out; they will find an answer to their problems or they will answer answer it for themselves. This pertains to a lifelong conflict, but it does not just pertain to that. It relates to a situation in a day, week, or even, an
They and face many problems, but eventually, they find that many people were involved in this crime. The three main characters of the book are Ivy, Tess, and Vivvie. Ivy is Tess’s sister and is the fixer, and the person that everyone goes to if they need help with a problem. Tess is the main character of the book and moves to Washington D.C to live with her sister.
I found it extraordinary with every decision or turning point a character faced in their lives. What I have assimilated from this book is you cannot let where you come from determine your path, it is only you who can determine your future. This is also why the author Wes was one of my favorite characters in this narrative. His story is one out of a multitude that shows anyone can have a bright future. But I did not discern any similarities with the characters and myself. We all were born into different situations and grew up around opposite influences. Overall, my impression of the novel is positive I believe it is an outstanding book and anyone else who reads it I would hope agrees. I would definitely recommend this book to people because it may help them appreciate
There were a few points in this book that taught me about life and how crazy it can be sometimes. The photographer named Fulgencio was very afraid of hitch hiking to Mexico City with a stranger, especially with all of us expensive equipment. On the ride, Fulgencio is so paranoid that the guy is going to kill him, he grabs a machete out of the back of the truck. In doing so he gets kicked out of the car and loses all of his photography equipment anyways. This taught me that we need to trust each other more, Just because there are a few crazy people in the world, we shouldn't let them give us all a bad name. I mean, the guy picked Fulgencio up when he was in desperate need of a car, and gives him a ride. He should have been thankful, not picked up a machete and threaten the guy. Another thing this book taught me was that just because your sister doesn't want your kid anymore because she
Many individuals from another culture strive to live the “American Dream.” In the excerpt from the novel, The Hunger of Memory by Richard Rodriguez, he leaves Mexico to become a middle-class American man and further his education. Sherman Alexie writes “Superman and Me,” which shows how Alexie, a Spokane Indian, teaches himself American literature. Both of these stories intertwine to show how different cultures step out of their own and try to live the American Dream. This leads the audience wondering if culture affects how far individuals go in life? Whereas Alexie describes the ideology of the American Dream as an Indian young boy teaching himself how to read from comic books, Rodriguez describes the ideology of American Dream by escaping Mexico to seek higher education in America.
Through details, choice of words and especially the style in which this story is written, Callie, the narrator, guides our responses as well as our views of the events and people. From Callie “…remember[ing] exactly”(1) how it all started to finally telling us that she “…want[s] to get better”(150) we grow to understand what caused her sense of hopelessness and how she came to deal with wanting to cut herself.
, we learn about major life lessons important for teens to learn about, all through the help of the characters in the book. Firstly, we learn that life is tough trying to make it on your own on the streets and if you ask for help, you could have a better life. For example, Dylan is reluctant to go to the drop in centre or the education building for help (48) but when he does, he gets food, good advice and a
In the book I can connect to some of the things in it. In life people have happy things happen and negative things happen. “Life throws too much crap at us as it is, so why hold onto something
First, I believe this book should be taught because through the the story, and the main plot teaches that life isn't a fairytale. "Life isn't as nearly as stable as we want it to be. " The main part of the story is a family that is falling apart due to a family member who will most likely die of cancer. This book teaches us that we try to set standards in life, and the results may turn out a little shorter than we expected. That's just what's going to happen, we will get disappointed in things, we will be mad at the out comes, and get frustrated because it wasn't what we wanted it to be.
One theme I gather from this story is that if you do not live your life taking risks, you will never know what moments in your life that you’re missing out on. You never know where life will take you so one should be open and accepting to events that are out of one’s comfort zone. Being outgoing and spontaneous can lead to meeting new people and making memories. If you're a boring person, people won't like you as much. You only have one life to live so you should live your life to the fullest.
To start off, a part I did not like about the book was the part about Ove’s dad. I felt as though this complicated the plot a lot and was not necessary to the base of the book. It did not need to be added into the book because it had no effect to my understanding of what was happening in the book. If anything it made me more confused because it went back in time, then it came back to the present and it was confusing what time period we were in at the moment. A good part of the book was when Parvaneh was becoming friends with Ove because he needed to get out of his daily routine. Ove needed someone to shake up the life he had been living for many years. I would not recommend this book to adolescents because the book was confusing at some points and the humor was guided towards the adults. Personally, I would read another book by Fredrik Backman because the book was still very well written. I also could understand the book, for the most part. To continue, this book would be better read by adults because the humor was more guided to that age group. Also, this book is still relevant today because people do not live forever. We have to learn to move on from the bad times just like Ove did. When a loved one dies we feel grief, but like Ove we use the people around us to begin to feel better about what happened to us. In conclusion, this was a good book and I would rate it three out of five
People should read this book because it teaches the importance of friends and family and it teaches that everybody has personal issues to go through.
3).I do not really think there is a moral to the story. In my opinion, the story didn’t really teach me anything. I feel the story was just made for entertainment, drama, and a bit of suspense.
In the light of all this, I think, the message of the short story is that everyone, in this case Nick, has to learn many lessons through life, and everyone needs to learn how to deal with life and
