The book I read was Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, written by J.K. Rowling. The story takes place at Hogwarts, a school of witchcraft and wizardry. Harry Potter is a student at Hogwarts, and Ron and Hermione are his best friends. The main focus was a secret chamber hidden in the school, that has been opened and was opened years before. There were attacks on the students by a basilisk snake, which was put there by an evil wizard named Voldemort. Harry, Ron, and Hermione kept searching for clues to find out how the attacks were happening until they were lead right to the answer. Over all, the book was a good story and was very exciting and creative. The story begins when Dobby, a small house elf, warns Harry about something bad in Hogwarts. Something bad did happen. It was the chamber. It was being opened and attacks were coming from it. Harry was trying to figure out who was planning the attacks, what was in the chamber, and who opened it. Harry, Hermione, and Ron made assumptions about who opened it before, and tried to figure out who it was by making potions, spying, and talking to different people about it. They often met in the girls prefects bathroom to talk. Once when they were in there making a potion to get ideas out of people, they came across a magical diary by a person named Tom Riddle. Harry figured out how to work the magic diary and was told that his friend Poole2 and the professor of magical creatures, Hagrid opened the chamber before, but the diary
