Strengths: Kelsey greets the client in a polite and a professional tone. From here, she does a great job digging deeper to inquire exactly what funds the client were referring to. She then suggests contacting our servicing team to further address where the tax refunds are located. The call ends on a polite note. Inch: Any additional questions- We should inquire if the client has any additional questions or concerns. This helps promote first call resolution and helps the client recall if there was anything initially
She does a good job digging deeper in regard to the rep whom she expected the call from and how the $600 fee would be waived.
- Was a strong introduction executed at the beginning of the call? Krista did mention the client's name but never reintroduced herself. We need to make sure that we are executing that every call this is part of the strong intro.
The case was brought to DCFS attention when a reporter stated on 7/11/17, OPWI attempted to obtain an emergency order of protection on behalf of Kiara (age 7). Reportedly Ashley (mother) is actively using METH and also methodone she gets from a clinic, and is also involved in prostitution. Ashley told OPWI that Ashley ''can't wait outside for the bus to go to drug court because she's done bad things to people (robbed people, committed home invasion, taken people's money and drugs) and these people are after her.'' Reporter states that one of these people came to OPWI's house looking for Ashley and scared Kiara. Ashley recently got out of jail, stayed with OPWI for a couple of days, left last Friday telling Kiara she would be back in a couple of hours, didn't return
Penny Ann Beernsten, a thirty-six year old small business co-owner and physical fitness instructor, went through a traumatic experience on the afternoon of July 29, 1985. She jogged at a stretch of Lake Michigan shoreline in Wisconsin. She was planning on meeting with her father at the beach at 4:00 PM and she started the jog at 3:50 PM, but was grabbed and taken to the woods where she was raped and deprived her of oxygen by suffocation until she passed out. When she woke up, she walked out of the woods, where couples comforted her until she found her husband and finally the police. (Possley).
- Conclude the call properly. Nancy misses the opportunity to ask if the client had any other questions before concluding the call. It's important that we do this in order to help promote a one call
Heather Fisher lost nine liters of blood after she delivered her daughter Jasmine. It is a miracle that she survived. Heather had a high-risk pregnancy, and she was already at an increased risk for hemorrhaging because of her previous C-section scars. She went into labor at just 30 weeks pregnant.
The underlying issues in both cases are racial discrimination. For Cheryl Boulden in the affirmative action case the issue is being “an African American woman among the good ol’ boys in Indiana.” She was recruited because of race and her permanent handicap was seen as an asset for a diversity program lacking any. Yet these qualities made her a target of racism. Susan Finn’s ethnic discrimination presents a dilemma of how to deal with a contract physician’s abusive behavior “toward Hispanics and female staff as well as patients” (Reeves, 2006, p. 79). While the issues of racial and gender discrimination is not unusual, the failure of these agencies to address multiple complaints is.

“If there are any points on which you require explanation or further particulars we shall be glad to furnish such additional details as may be required by telephone.”
Client is asked coping questions and the miracle question. Coping questions consist of asking the client questions on how they plan on dealing with a situation. An example of this would be what would you do when someone is drinking in front of you and it’s starting to trigger you? The miracle question is asking the client if they woke up tomorrow and all their problems were gone how would they know or how would that look for them? The last type of question to be discussed is scaling questions.
