He parks in front of the door like he’s done it a thousand times, opens the door and throws the keys back to Logan. “Please keep quiet until we get to Willa. And if anyone asks who you are just say that you’re a friend of mine,” Walker instructs without looking at them. He’s too busy looking at the three-story house standing in front of him, one he never thought he’d see again. Walker’s stomach drops lower and lower the further they go through in the house. The last time he was here it was a very painful experience -- one he’s not sure that he’s entirely ready to repeat. Thankfully, no one stops them in their trek upstairs, though some of the staff members send the group a funny looks. Walker soon finds himself in front of Willa’s bedroom door, fist raised and inches from making contact with it, when he suddenly impedes his motions. “Walker?” Eleanor asks. “Are you alright?” Walker shrugs. “I’m not sure. I guess I’m just nervous.” Eleanor steps forward, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder. Delta makes a sound that is filled with irritation and Eleanor shoots her a solid glare. Walker knocks on the door twice. Everyone holds their breath as they all wait for the door to open. The door is flung on its hinges with something white and brown standing on the other side. Walker bends down to pick up the creature, struggling to hoist it up with it squirming s the whole

Mama and Maggie live in a pasture in a three bedroom house with no real windows. Walker uses this destination to symbolize how their heritage is in their everyday lives. The home is rustic, and Walker says that it is just like their old one that burned (Walker). The old one was probably one that much of their family had also lived in. Jamie Harrison analyzed that Dee had rejected the rustic lifestyle and had always yearned for finer things in life.
