The Clutters’ were a wealthy and prominent family in Western Kansas. They were the living examples of the American Dream, yet they were not conscious of this. The family did not have the fear that is associated with the American Dream. This is the same fear that drives many people to continually achieve success. To define, the fear that comes with the American Dream is simply losing it. For example, the Clutters’ never locked their house door despite living in an isolated area. Moreover, when Nancy Clutter was approached by Dick and Perry on the night of the murder, her response was “Good grief, what is this? Some kind of joke?” She and the family had never believed that something terrible could happen to them, which is rightfully justified
Being a licentious woman is something that society doesn’t like to speak on. It’s certainly not something that is discussed in high society such as in the political parties. In 1998, a sex scandal would rock the nation when Monica Lewinsky came forward about an affair with President Bill Clinton. This was a vast scandal, but was not the first scandal to happen in the politician world. Before, Monica Lewinsky there was Margaret Peggy Eaton. She would be part of a scandal that would later be known as the “Petticoat Affair”, that would cause conflict in the presidential party and with the wives.
Carrie Amelia Moore thought that drinking caused most of the problems in the world. She was against alcohol and she started trying to get it to be banned. Carrie is known for carrying a hatchet with her that helped her smashed public places. She kept thinking that god wanted her to travel around and get people to see the way she saw the problems of alcohol. She did speeches, used violence, and she was a member of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union who was known most from all of the other people who were in there..
Becoming a licensed practical nurse is a rewarding job that allows a nurse to care for other people and it has a rewarding salary, while the disadvantages is the lack of sleep and the multiple hours that a nurse has to spend on his/her feet. Cathy Parker is a licensed practical nurse and also a clinical director at Bay Springs After Hours Clinic in Bay Springs,M.S. She has been a licensed practical nurse for twenty-eight years and a clinical director for thirteen years. Cathy has several reasons why she chose her career to be a licensed practical nurse. She says the main reason she chose to be a nurse is because one night at church a little boy had cut his arm and as she bandaged him up God called her to be a nurse. Her second reason she became a nurse is her love for people and wanting to see others properly cared for. As she cared for her elderly grandmother when she was a teenager it made her feel helpful to see someone smile while being cared for. Her favorite part of her job is to see someone who has been in pain, smile after being cared for.

I want to start out by saying that Janet Fazio is my current favorite person. I’ll explain. But first a little background for any new readers: I’m a new mom and triathlete (still breastfeeding) of an 11-month-old daughter (who does not yet sleep through the night) who works full-time (pumps at least two times a day), commutes three days a week, and owns a high-energy Vizsla dog that needs 5 to 10 miles of exercise per day. All this = very busy, little down time and too much coffee. So having my husband out of town for work hasn’t been easy (I have a newfound respect for single parents).
A mom named Susan Maushart did the most unforgiving thing to her three children. She unplugged all of her child's favorite elctronics. The mom wrote a book called "The Winter of Our Disconnect" where she talks about how she survived the six months without the world wide web. Maushart has decided to unplug all of her kids's electronic gadgets becuase she says her kids actually she likes put to say "inhabited" the media. She says her kids couldn't do her homework without them having to listen to music, scrolling in Facebook, and using instant message. Maushart began her unforgiving experminet. She turned off all of the electricty that now the kids have to use candles
Shannon Brownlee a writer for The Sacramento Bee states that the obesity problem has to do with the meal sizes of the seller. She says that “When they do well economically, we gain weight” (Brownlee, para. 4). Brownlee is trying to say that whenever people buy more and more fast food, the businesses get paid and the consumer gains weight in an unhealthy way. I agree with Brownlee on how businesses give out unhealthy food and do not care about the consumer. When businesses get paid they believe that the consumer wants more so they give what they get and what they give is unhealthy food and what they get is a lot of money. I agree with Shannon Brownlee on how businesses give out unhealthy food and do not care about the consumer. Brownlee is stating
