The main purpose of Reconstruction was to unite the sates to the union and restore the south. The Federal Government wanted to put in order all the problems that were caused by the Civil War. (Schultz,275) Backed up by facts, in my opinion, I believe Reconstruction was a failure.
The business looks at the community and evaluates the needs of the individuals who live in the community. Many individuals have children in the community, and the economy is not in a terrific place. Children’s Stop Resale Shop has gathered different items from friends and family members to have products in the store on the opening day. Future items will be purchased or donated by local individuals in the community. The owners will sell the items to the public at a price low enough to be affordable to the community yet high enough to support the business. Purchasing quality items only will allow the community to know they are purchasing product that will last and look amazing on their children. The community can contact the owners and set up an appointment to bring in merchandise they are looking to sell to the shop. The shop owners will purchase items they believe will sell and will donate any leftover items to local foster families and shelters. This is another amazing way

Since it is an infrequent (perhaps one time only) purchase, comparison of price and quality is very important. The CoolCooker will be available at department stores, big box retailers, warehouse stores, and via the internet.

This mobile clothes washing service is a service to clean clothes for homeless and at risk adults in Rochester and surrounding Monroe county. We are a nonprofit located in the heart of Rochester dedicated to serving and helping the homeless community. In addition to cleaning the clothes of the homeless population we will introduce them back into the workforce through the hiring of our company. The logistics will be discussed further in the business proposal but we feel it is important to end the cycle of homelessness. Our service will make Rochester stronger because we are putting people with barriers to employment to work and helping end that homeless cycle in our community. Our organization will work hand in hand with other local agencies and support groups of the homeless in Rochester hoping to create a better network for all. The weakness in the business organization will be the first hand securing of sponsorships and partners to help cut costs and create a non-profit entity. It will take a vast amount of effort to go from company to company first hand pitching our ideas in the hopes of securing something with a major company such as Tide or

In addition to these regional and flatbed centers, Lowe’s has three transload facilities for products that are imported along with four specialty centers to support their import business and flexible fulfillment capabilities. One way that Lowe’s is reducing inventory costs is by stocking the slower moving expensive items in the regional distribution center so they do not take up space in the store. Through this system, Special Order Sales system, they are able to reduce investment in inventory and provide quick delivery of the product to the customer when it is ordered. The sharing economy has its perks however also its inconveniences. Mary Dejevsky is the writer of “Uber and the “sharing economy” are leaps into the past, not the future”, and in the text she speaks on the downside of the sharing economy. “There are questions, too, about quality of life and fairness. What recourse do you have if you are a tenant or home-owner disturbed by anti-social short-stayers? If you are a neighbor woken by driveway customers slamming their doors at 6am? If pollution is increased by the many more cars plying for hire? If wages are further depressed by casualization?”, Dejevsky lists various of problems that people face or could face now that sharing economy is becoming a global thing. All the things she mentions are pretty
Professor Munger began his video on “The Sharing Economy” by saying that revolutions are destructive. His implication is the destruction is not in the sense that something is decimated but rather, there is a paradigm shift. The examples he uses to illustrate this point are that of the Neolithic Revolution, Industrial Revolution and the new Sharing Economy. To illustrate his point, Professor Munger begins with the example of the shift from hunter-gather to agrarian society’s ability to grow crops and remain stationary, which at the same time left people vulnerable to bandits.
The threat of new entrants into the online shoe/apparel market is relatively small due to the fact that Zappos is such an established brand and has specialized their business model. It would be far too expensive for a new company to copy the characteristics of Zappos including their next day delivery and large overhead. The fact that Zappos was losing money initially illustrates this difficulty. Another issue that would create a high barrier to entry is Zappos commitment to the consumer through overnight shipping. Zappos stated that the overnight shipping caused them to leave their warehouses open for the entire day. Any other company would
Few decades ago, clean water was “commons” (Hardin, 1968) to us. It was a natural resource shared by everyone and not owned by anyone. This “commons” was taken for granted to the extent that people exploit clean water without considering its finiteness. Resorts and factories dumped wastewater and ruined nearby rivers and oceans. People carelessly littered garbage and substituted the dirty water with diminishing clean water. They definitely benefited in terms of financial cost and comfort from their negligence. However, those individual interests ended up bringing severe water pollution, attacking our collective interest of public health and well-being. In this vein, water pollution is undeniably the “Tragedy of the Commons” (Hardin, 1968). Following these dire circumstances, water purification techniques and systems have been further developed and become widespread. Yet, the technical measurements have not quite fundamentally solved the problem. What is needed at this point is people’s will and practical action to improve the environment. However, merely hoping and encouraging people to do so are not enough. In order to have a steady support from people, we need a practical device for a “mutual coercion” (Hardin, 1968) to earn consent to coercion necessary to amend the situation. In this paper, I am going to address the technical and individual effort for water pollution and its limitation, and suggest a way to complement this limitation through a device on an institutional
