I am very excited to apply for the Corporate tax internship program with Southwest airlines. Southwest Airlines has a great culture when it comes to employee development, customer satisfaction and training. Recently I graduated with an BS Accounting degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and am currently pursuing the MS Taxation degree at UT Arlington. Corporate Tax field has been a great interest to me as working in this field allows an employee to work on different tax engagements of various companies, directly working with the IRS and learning different aspects of tax compliance. After taking individual tax class at my college I came to the conclusion that tax is definitely a great career choice. Southwest airlines are a fortune
As of April 8, 2017, I have decided to volunteer for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA) to prepare tax returns for low income families. I came to this decision as a result of my interview with Marcella Holmes, CPA; the interview rekindled my interest in tax preparation. Because I enjoy tax accounting and I’m looking for a volunteer opportunity, this appears to fulfill two desires at once. Since no money is invested, this decision carries a zero financial risk factor. If the opportunity does not work out, the only investment I would lose is the time I would have devoted to the training.
I did internship with Novogradac & Company LLP is a national certified public accounting and consulting firm with a major emphasis in the real estate sector. During my internship, I mainly audited property management company regrading cash account, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, long term debts, revenue and expense account. Because Financial Report & Analysis I and II courses covered the accounting terms and journal entries in the last summer, I could complete assignments related to audits and journal entries. In addition, I prepared for balance sheets, income statements, statement of partners’ equity for partnership, direct and indirect cash flow statements for each rental property. I delivered required financial statements
During Summer 2015, I participated in an unpaid internship program with Evan Guthrie Law Firm. While the employer is located in Charleston, South Carolina, my job as the intern is to be trained to become the editor and contributor in Hawaii for a new legal website, managed by the firm and dedicated for college students. This internship covered the Hawaii portion of the website.

I am interested in the programs and events internship position for the Volunteer Center of Lubbock. The position requires you to organize workshops, youth events, and even a golf tournament to promote volunteering in the area. I connect with this organization because I feel very strongly about volunteering, I think that everyone should donate their time to help others when they can.
I knew it was time to start looking for an internship for this summer. While looking at the career services website a few months ago I stumbled across a logistics internship through Anderson Trucking Service. I researched the company for a while, and looked at the internship posting on ATS’s website. During my reading I found a few qualifications that matched my abilities and knew this was the internship for me. A couple of the key qualifications were: strong problem-solving skills, hard-worker, and sense of integrity. I have always pride myself on the fact that I can always accomplish something if I work hard enough. For strong problem-solving skills I go back to my previous job, where I was faced with solving problems on a regular
The Carters meet the gross income test because their income is not taxed and is not included into their gross income. They both also qualify as a qualifying relative. Florence’s support provided by John and Janet is $4,500 for the year. This includes the $3,500 for the lodging and food and the $1,000 paid for her dental work. Calvin’s support is only $3,500 for the year for lodging and food. His life insurance premiums are exempt and cannot be figured as support. Florence and Calvin spent $4,000 of their own money for their support. Florence passes the support test, but Calvin does not. Therefore, Florence qualifies as a dependent exemption because she passed all three tests. Calvin on the other hand only passed two of the three tests and cannot be claimed as a dependent exemption.
I would like to apply for a 2016 summer internship in the accounting department at the Tennessee Valley Authority Corporate Headquarters in Knoxville. After doing research online and with my career counselor, Robin Lay, at Tusculum College I have decided that the Tennessee Valley Authority would be a stupendous place to begin gaining real world experience and knowledge in the accounting field.
I'm a excellent writer and took many African American Studies classes. I also have a huge appreciation for the arts. I love to draw and I was apart of the drama and script writing club in High School. As such, I will be able to bring to the internship everything I learned as a English major which includes writing, communication, and leadership skills and my knowledge in art and
I am thankful for the nomination to apply for the UTRGV Upward Bound internship. I am currently a junior at Lopez Early College High School, and I am taking human growth and development as well doing public services hands on my career pathway. I honest believe that I am an outstanding candidate to this internship because I am very dedication, responsible, determined and respectful. My goal is to seek a master's degree in administration and a minor in photography.
I have spent three years at DePauw University learning Economics and Communication, and I believe my extensive background in taking classes in Financial and Managerial Accounting will be very useful for your accounting internship. I have also spent a summer as a financial advisor, and I believe those skills will transfer over and be an added benefit.
As an accounting major, I would have preferred to intern for a company that would utilize my accounting skills. There were not that many accounting and finance opportunities that were offered for this semester. Sadly, there was a student who dropped the internship due to the lack of accounting firms who were interested in taking on an intern. However, the internship organization was flexible and accommodating to all the interns. Chris Gaines has been a vital part of the internship program. My experience has been positive due to Chris Gaines direct interaction during weeks where we met as a class and always readily in
I am interested in the SCI Scholar Internship Program. I believe I will be a strong candidate for this program with my experiences and leadership positions. Unfortunately. I do not meet the 3.5 GPA requirement. I do have a 3.25 gpa and I believe that I am at a disadvantage with grades due to UCLA's grades deflation. Also, my first years at UCLA I suffered with low gpa because I was prepared for UCLA's competitive nature. The last few quarters I maintain a GPA higher than a 3.5 in upper divisions and got Dean's list due to my 4.0 GPA.
I am thrilled to apply for the Summer Project Assistant Internship at Kirkland & Ellis LLP. I believe I would be a suitable candidate for the position based on my major in economics, my involvement in Sewanee’s Appellate Moot Court team, the Tennessee Intercollegiate State Legislature, and the Chuck Pacholkiw 5k Memorial Race and my passion for litigation and problem solving.
I believe having an internship voucher will increase my chances of finding a suitable internship position because, it is practically competitive and I have no previous work experience in my field of study. Having an internship position allows me to practically implement those skills that I have acquired, in the real world. This in turn gives me a foundation to start building my career and expertise in my field of study. I am optimistic this experience will eventually help me in securing a suitable job at the completion of my Master
