Under the guidance of Larry Goldberg at Six Rivers Solar, I performed a market analysis for their revolutionary upcoming product. During my time as an intern, I researched multiple competitors and compared their specifications and price of a solar trailer to what Six Rivers Solar had been developing. At the end of the internship, I created a data matrix and presented my findings to Larry Goldberg. The main purpose of the market research was to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the upcoming solar trailer. The reason for Six Rivers Solar to acquire an intern was to figure out if there was already an established market for solar trailers and if their trailer is cheaper or superior in any way. I was tasked to gather information from other competitors and incorporate the data into a presentable format. Along with creating a data matrix, my ultimate deliverable was to give a brief explanation of my findings to my onsite supervisor. My work required hours of research through using the internet. I spent most of my time looking for potential leads through trade show vendors, online market places, blogs, forums and as well as using search powerful engines such as google. To initiate contact with possible leads for further information, I either called them …show more content…
As an accounting major, I would have preferred to intern for a company that would utilize my accounting skills. There were not that many accounting and finance opportunities that were offered for this semester. Sadly, there was a student who dropped the internship due to the lack of accounting firms who were interested in taking on an intern. However, the internship organization was flexible and accommodating to all the interns. Chris Gaines has been a vital part of the internship program. My experience has been positive due to Chris Gaines direct interaction during weeks where we met as a class and always readily in

Ed Welsh and Bo Haeberle discovered an idea of the solar feeder. After years of developing, the product became very successful. It even won several prizes like the best new product in the Bird Watch America trade show, the national birding convention. After this, Ed and Bo decided to sell their final product under new established company Squirrel Defense, Inc. They opened a small shop in Greensboro and begin the production of the solar feeder so they could take orders for the demanded product. Owners spent too much money and time on developing the product and now, their expectations are high because they have an advantage of unique product and even the investors showed interest in the company.
In the last sixteen weeks, I have spent my time as an intern at Great American Insurance Company in Cincinnati, OH. I was interning as an IT Desktop Technician for the Annuity Group. Interning in this position meant being apart of a Desktop IT team, which consisted of two full-time employees and myself. Throughout my interning time, I have learned a lot of new things, improved on some of my weaknesses, and also strengthened some of my strengths.
Being a transfer student from the UW-Green Bay, I honestly did not know what to expect from UW-Whitewater’s accounting program. The instant I heard that there was an internship program I knew that I had to be a part of it. One of the main goals of going to college is to land a job after graduation. The internship program seemed like the greatest way to get experience in the accounting, while building a relationship with a firm that may lead to a full-time offer. From start to finish the whole process was a lot of work, but in the end, I knew it would all be worth it.
I came across this internship while I was scrolling through my university’s career page and it immediately caught my eye. I had been looking to further my experience in editing and publishing and looking at this application seemed too good to be true. The M-School program is everything I was looking for in an internship because it values its interns unlike most internships. This drew me in right away and after I researched as much as I could about the program, I wanted in. I am currently in my second year of university at Trent University and I am studying English literature will study business in the next school year.
Second, getting the opportunity to experience an internship is something every person should do. This experience gives you a full understanding of what your interests are and the career path you want to take. This privilege allowed me to put into practice a few of
Interning as the financial analyst at Terma North America Inc. (Terma) and as the accounting intern at Howard, Moore, and McDuffie (HMM) has been a great learning experience. This summer I have been able to apply theory and participate in real-world scenarios. At the beginning of my internships, I met with my supervisors to create goals that I would strive to achieve by the end of the summer. At Terma, my goal was to prepare and present summary financial status reports to management and customers. I was able to exceed this goal by working with the IT department to design and create a program management module for the program managers. With the guide, the managers will learn how to access reports and update them at any time without
Overall I feel as though the entire summer was an amazing experience. The trip to D.C. and working with the YWCA were both eye-opening but worthwhile aspects of this internship. I loved the YWCA and all of the people we meet but I will say there are some areas that are open to improvement. From the beginning I felt like a very welcomed part of their community but there was always a slight feeling of being a fleeting part of their day to day operations. I think this was caused more so from the fact that Bank of America has provided interns to them for 7 out of the past 9 years. Kate and I were kind of expected to be there and it seemed like we were always being compared to past interns and that wasn’t the best of feelings to live with. The YWCA

All together, Verengo
The Center for Film, Media, and Popular Culture provided me with not only credits, but also with many life lessons that I can take to other internships and jobs in the future. I have never had a job before this internship, as I have too many classes to take a semester, so between classes and homework, I rarely have any free time. When I heard about this opportunity, I immediately jumped at it. I wanted an opportunity to work on campus and obtain some credits while doing it.
My Plant Engineering (PE) internship experience at United Parcel Service (UPS) allowed me to utilize all that I have learned at Florida Polytechnic University and apply it to real world work experience. Thus expanding upon my previous knowledge while simultaneously allowing me to grow in new ways that cannot be taught in the classroom. Interning at UPS has helped highlight my fortes and flaws as not only an engineering student, but also as a young adult entering the professional world. Through firsthand daily coaching and mentoring from senior engineers, I discovered that communication is the key to being successful as an individual and as a team. Encouraging social cognizance provides necessary balance within a company.
Over the past 10 weeks, I have worked at Deloitte & Touche, LLP as an Audit Intern. Overall the internship was an important learning experience and invaluable in my professional development. I was able to gain real work experience in audit and network with many people at different stages in their careers. There were many Deloitte-sponsored intern events in addition to the regular daily work I performed on my three engagements.
During the summer semester of 2015, I was given the extraordinary opportunity of completing an internship at Aircon Engineering in Cumberland, Maryland. Deciding which internships I wanted to apply for was difficult. There was a few criteria that I was looking for. First of all, I wanted an internship that would apply to my major in business administration. Secondly, I wanted to work for a small company or a company that operates like a small company. I thought working for a large company would be too stressful given that this was my first experience in a “real” job. Lastly, I wanted a work environment that was flexible and desirable. To depict those qualities about a company I had to research their websites. I explored each
