1. My understanding in the differences between Teamsterville and Nacirema, is that the Teamsterville is considered to be a culture’s ethnic background or geographical location within a culture that has it own communication style and dialects, however Nacirema is defined by its speech practices and not by it’s geographical boundaries or ethnic background. 2. Being that I am from the north-end of Flint, MI I would has to say that I am a part of culture like teamsterville, that particular part of town has its own speech patterns specific to the culture. I would consider mysef as a Nacirema, now that I am mature and knowledgeable of many things. Once situation is when I was dating my wife and I visited her job, which was at a middle school. The
Per Reporter: For the last 90 days the children have been living with their godmother (Trakenshia). Charlotte has been in Texas and does not want to care for the children. Trakenshia attempted to retrieve the children’s social security cards to enroll them in school. Trakenshia was successful with enrolling the children in North Panola schools. The social security department realized that the children were not with Charlotte and suspended the funds. Charlotte is originally from Memphis and has been using her cousin (Tamara’s) address to receive benefits. Latoya is diagnosed with ADHD and has been prescribed medication (unknown). Latoya needs her medicine to focus for school; however, she confirmed that Charlotte had been selling the pills.
On January 7th officials say a vehicle drove past a home in the 400 block of Salem Lane in Rossville.
The North was successful in population and Resources. Victory was a given especially when they had the upper hand on population and resources. The South acted more dependently on economic foreign trades and was very vulnerable when it came to blockades and attacks. We also have to look at the ratio when it came down to manpower. The North had a population of 19 million people compared to the South they had a little over 9 million people which also counting in those numbers 3.5 million slaves meaning the ratio was four to one. The also had naval Blockade, Railroad links and Monopoly in shipping. Railroad links was an inexpensive and fast way for transportation for the supplies and Soldiers which was a key elements when it came down to modern

Danville, PA is a wonderful place to live as it is a small town and it has several large employers to supply good jobs, however, more small businesses are needed in the downtown and surrounding area. Danville has a history of coal and iron manufacturing but following the peak of that, it had lost several businesses and the downtown became not as busy as it was. Unfortunately, this has remained so and Danville is in need of revitalization.

Founded in 1732, it was George Rogers Clark and his small army who took the largest land conquest in the revolutionary war away from the British in 1779. Greatly disadvantaged in number of troops compared to those inside Fort Sackville, Clark relied on the marksmanship of his troops and the ability to convince the British of a larger army to win the fort.
Westville is a village in Lumpkin, Georgia that represents the way of life in the 1850s through old antebellum buildings, preserved pre-Civil War artifacts, and “townspeople,” who play the part of villagers. The vision and inspiration for the town was started by a man named John West in 1928.
1. Using symbolic interaction theory as your guide, explain how the terms “aliens” and “illegals” helped shape public opinion/attitudes in Farmingville towards Latino day laborers. What do these words mean? How did these definitions influence perceptions and behaviors?
Alien in one definition is: “Too different from something to be acceptable or suitable,” and Illegal in one definition is “Not allowed by the law.” (Mirriam-Webster Dictionary) The words ‘Alien’ and ‘Illegal’ have inherent negative connotations. A person does not need to know the intimate or factual circumstances associated with those words to understand their symbolism. When those words are used to label the social group of undocumented Latino day laborers the inherent reaction is to see them in a negative way. The individuals become a stigmatized group. The people against undocumented immigrants in Farmingville saw the Latinos through the lens of the stigmatized group “illegal aliens.” They thus became
I am from North Ridgeville Ohio, a city that is roughly a half-hour from downtown Cleveland. I have lived there my whole life and have live in the same general area of this city. The town was first settled in May of 1810. It was not named North Ridgeville until 9 years later when the first post office was constructed. As of 2015, the town has grown to an estimated 25 square miles, “third in Lorain County”, witch an estimate population of 32,983 (24k). The population is almost 50:50 with Female to Male ratio with an average age of dwellers as 41 years old. The town is full of many small businesses and a few grocery stores. There is a lot of farmland in North Ridgeville. The city just expanded its education system by building a new school
Transportation between Compinwood and Eaganville is important to the region’s economic growth and development. As transportation planners for the State of Gilder, our job is to create a transportation plan that will ease congestion, meet the needs of the citizens, and reduce travel time on the SR A. Over the next 25 years, the population of Compinwood and Eaganville are expected to increase and the jobs in Eaganville are expected to increase as well. While the SR A is already heavily congested, it is experiencing an increase in truck traffic due to the increased trade with Florin. Agri Com is a coalition that supports these businesses involved in agriculture and trade with Florin. The SR A is one of the most congested freeways in Gilder
In general my ‘normal code’ is a relatively unaccented english, with bits of utah sneaking in accordingly. My choice of language is not based on cultural heritage or identity. Simply a result of necessity and geographic placement. Unlike Anzaldua I despise the idea of relying my entire sense of self, personality, and pride on my language, I would gladly speak any language. Language (especially mine) is non-unique, easily translated, and not individualistic. Anyone from any

The way that I see my cultural starts from the cultural traits that I have been passed down my parents. Coming from a background of a Latin Mexican culture, my parents and family have had a great influence on how I culturally identify myself giving me the opportunity to acquire my own cultural identity. I see myself classified as a
