Technology has impacted our world to the point of no return. The world is a social media cyclone meaning it’s a hurricane taking over, and it’s no denying in any way. Even if you tried to ignore what is happening in technology, it would nonetheless get introduced to you by a friend or a family member no matter what your circumstances are. You could hold a Priests position or practice some type of religion which don’t allow the use for today’s technology at all.

Technology is crucial with communication in different types of relationships. Communication is a key component in building a relationship, both in business and in a romantic relationship. As humans, it is natural that we communicate with one another. In the past, this had to be done through letters and postage companies, which would take awhile to deliver your message. In today's world, we humans use technology to communicate with our friends, business associates, consumers and loved ones. Communication has been aided by the invention of cellphones (mobile) and internet. These two inventions have changed the way we communicate, which is a good thing in today’s society. This generation heavily depends on technology to express their thoughts through text, email, and via phone call. This is because technology has made communication significantly faster than ever before.

We all know technology is a good thing, right? Or is it? We can all come up with reasons why technology is helpful or appropriate like we can for a particular medicine. And while some drugs are really great to cure or prevent a disease, sometimes the side effects outweigh any possible benefit. The same is true with technology. Some common negative side effects of technology are kids playing on their phones instead of going outside to play or young people not interacting face-to-face as much as they used to. Parenting is an area that has suffered since the rise in technology, specifically with phone use.

I’ve chosen to talk about technology devices being needed for our everyday use and how they affect us. There’s a lot of ways it impacts us, so I probably won’t go over all of them, just some of the things I can think of at the moment. I also think it’s interesting how it can and does affect us both positively and negatively.

Technology, the thing that has made the turn of the century, but has it really helped out society? Technology has made this world more isolated. First, there have been more cases of cyberbullying since technology first came around. After that, overall test scores have gone down in middle schoolers and high schoolers. Lastly, not a lot of kids get to go to places for vacation, but they tend to buy the newest phone out there. Lets dive into my facts I have to support this.

Some of the most popular uses of the internet include online shopping, reading news outlets, researching economic and health information, social media, and countless other means. Of the variety of uses for the internet, one of the most common is social networking; almost three-fourths of individuals between the ages of 18-29 frequently use a social networking website (Lenhart et al., 2010). Whether it is updating a profile or posting a photo, a common theme between the different forms of social networking and technology is communication.
