With the advancement of a massive number of electronics, parents are creating ill-behaved offspring. Instead of walking their child to the bus stop holding hands, it’s now mom or dad texting or emailing their friends. How many children have been left in hot cars this summer because the adult forgot about them. How on earth can one forget a child unless maybe the distraction of that cell phone or tablet gets in the way? Bullying has risen to an all-time high in schools around the nation and nothing seems to be changing. Parents used to teach their children about responsibility and kindness towards others and now it seems that parents expect the television to do that. Some will argue that all of the technology floating around these days is actually helping children. The young ones are learning reading and writing much faster with help from a tablet or new Internet site. The help of certain applications such as a virtual tutor may help a child get better grades, but where do we draw the line?
