TechSid has big aspirations in terms of organizational goals as the company strives to become a large electronics accessory company known throughout Canada. Specific organizational goals that the business is trying to accomplish are developing a dependable e-commerce business along with a few physical locations. TechSid Inc. is also trying to penetrate the market as a B2C as well as a B2B company by offering wholesale options. Finally, in the future, TechSid Inc. desires to manufacture its own products and have original designs and innovate (innovative maybe?) ideas. Since the business has started up within the past few months, it has to show a tremendous amount of success in the next year or two in order to begin achieving some of its goals.
Next, the actual money that spent on this project is far exceed the budgeted amount. To date, it spent 12.55 million more than expected. However, this is not the end, there are still two testing remains incomplete which will cost company more to finish them. Regarding to each items, the item that results in the most unfavorable result is the software development that cost the company 12.90 million more to finish development. We should also notice that the items far behind the schedule are all related to the software. This tells us that the company is extremely not good at developing software. This may due to the sudden change from the medium segmentation focus to the high end products. I would initially recommend the company to have a joint venture with the other high end company to implement this project. However, as the project is almost done, the most important thing is how to promo this product that makes it profitable or at
As a member of the NSANYS Board of Directors there are many goals I would aspire to accomplish. It is one of my hopes to provide NSNA members with greater access to opportunities to serve the community, particularly as it relates to health and wellness. During my time as a member of the Board of Directors I would seek to promote involvement in these activities. First, I would create a discussion through the NSANYS social media platforms to establish which types of volunteer programs NSNA members are most interested in. Additionally, through collaboration with the community health director and other NSANYS board members, I would reach out to NSNA school chapters to partner on upcoming community projects and share information on volunteer opportunities.
• (Flexible Work Schedule Policy) (Flextime) Techfite will permit supervisors within reason to adjust current start and leave times of the workplace and is line with our culture of workplace collaboration.
During one of the company’s presentations to the Dellberg city council, commitments were made to sponsor community events, to support local youth leadership development programs, and to invest in infrastructure to aid in the rebuilding of the city of Dellberg utilizing environmentally responsible techniques.
If we stick to the plans and ethics, I think our company has a bright future
Corporate policies are developed to give guidelines as to how a company should run its business. These three policies will aid in TechFites commitment to our community and most importantly the team members that keep our company going. First, executive bonuses shall be paid based from a scorecard. Second, part time employees shall be guaranteed a 28-hour work week at the same pay rate as a full-time employee performing a comparable task and reduced benefits. Finally, the corporation shall in be intimately involved with the city in which it is located by working to improve its infrastructure.
Product Innovation – Innovation of new products had failed many times and MTI has lost reputation with Wall Street. This process had been placed on the backburner and when the CEO came on board there were only six products in the pipeline. Therefore, to be successful in the future, MTI needs to invest more in R&D and focus on delivering new products.
Due to budget constraints, TechFite reduce full-time employee’s hours to below the necessary hours needed to receive full-time benefits, but at the same time are paying top executives excessive bonuses. This is an ethical issue because resources are being misused and it does not promote human well-being. In this scenario, misusing resources may be unethical, but it’s not illegal. It would be illegal if the top executives were misusing resources by embezzling the funds. It’s also unethical for TechFite to not fulfill the commitments it made to the city officials about community involvement. It represents distrust of integrity and credibility by questioning the moral stakes of broken commitments. Unfortunately, drifting from commitment is not
In the workplace, teams play a very important role in goal achievement. With the help and support of a team leader, the organization can become very successful as long as the team is effective and cooperative. There are many different leadership styles/theories that make each leader unique and effective in their own way. It is not just the leader though that has to be effective. The team as a whole needs to come together and being efficient. Team building strategies are very helpful and effective to bring everyone together. Although working in a team is very effective in most cases, conflicts can still arise. In order to bring everyone back together again conflict resolutions need to be put into place such as the problem solving technique.
I was not aware of TeamSTEPPS until my preceptor recently referenced the concepts during my NURS716 practicum session. Our hospital case management team recently presented the TeamSTEPPS model to the administrative team in an effort to improve our patient’s hospital discharge transition to home and to avoid hospital readmissions. I am looking forward to hearing and learning more about the progress of its implementation. Also, our hospital initiated the Lean Six Sigma methodology last year to improve performance by systematically eliminating waste through a reduction in inventory, organization of equipment in specified areas, and efficiency of patient’s point of care (POC) services provided through registration, preadmission testing, same day
