Tensions Leading Up To The American Revolution

The American Revolutionary war began in-part because of economic struggles England faced after securing safety for it’s colonies during the Seven Years War. England needed to increase their taxation on the colonists after the war to pay off its war debts. Prior to these taxes, the colonies were wholly content while under the wing of the British Empire. Not only because the protection the British provided, but also because of their deep reverence for the Motherland. Colonists were angered by with Parliament due to their lack of acknowledgement towards colonists rights and opinions. There are many reasons why the british and the colonies had so much tension between them. Three events that helped build the tensions between the Colonists and the British were, the British and how controlling they were. The Boston Massacre and how that came around. Last but not least the war of 1812 were the US finally declared war against Britain.These events all come together to show the issues between the Colonists and the British. Even though there are a lot more reasons behind these three were the one that stuck out the most.

This is about the American revolution and the taxes the King of England put on the American colonists and how the American colonists thought that King George was a tyrant. Colonists got very mad because the English Parliament passed many acts that raised taxes. In reply to the taxes the colonists revolted and took a stand.
