One thing that a majority of Americans do not realize is that each state has their own constitution that binds with the laws of the United States constitution. Each of these state constitutions are a little different in each way and fulfill the needs of the residents in each given state. In many ways the United States constitution and the Texas constitution are the same, both documents contain a bill of rights to help protect Texas residents of their civil and god given liberties. Both have a system of checks and balances with a separation of powers. But at the same time they could be very different, for starters they were both designed under very different circumstances.

The executive branch is the branch of federal and state government that is broadly responsible for implementing, supporting, and enforcing laws made by the legislative branch and interpreted the judicial branch. I really do not think that state governors need to have as much power over a state as a president does over a country.
