Texas Tech University It’s important to choose a college/university because because this decision will determine your future and no one else’s. This doesn’t mean it is necessary to choose whichever college or university just to have an education, choosing should be a slow thought out process dedicated to your preferences and strengths. The first and most important step to choosing a university/college, according to Katy Hopkins is to “focus on your endgame.”(1). It’s best to have a good idea, if not a hazy idea of where you want to be in the next few years. The minimum GPA required to enter Texas Tech is 3.44. Despite this being the minimum you will need high SAT or ACT scores to balance out and meet requirements. The minimum for ACT is 23 and above in the given subject and for SAT is 1090 for composite, 550 for reading, and 550 for math. The percentage of applicants submitted averages at around 60%.
Texas Tech has all the sports. From football to bowling Texas tech has got them all. When it comes to Student Organizations Texas tech has a plethora ranging from the Association for Computing Machinery to Agronomy club. Texas Tech also offers Sororities and Fraternities in their campus. Texas Tech does provide Financial Aid services and gives that information out close to enrollment.They also accept scholarships, grants and provide student loans.
I would personally like to become an Architect. Degrees vary from what your employer is looking for and certificates vary from what you’d like to work on.The average length for becoming an Architect is usually 5 years, with majors in Construction along with Architectural design. There is an average of at least 1,000 students. I chose this university because I felt that it suited my needs financially and the university was top quality. It also “fills” my desire to get out of the valley. I believe that Texas Tech is a good choice financially and personally.
