The patient protection act is commonly called the Obama care. It was established so that all the Americans receive safe and effective healthcare that is of a high quality. Its aim it to serve 96% of the Americans (United States., & Legal Content Inc, 2010). The act works around nine areas that are the primary focus of the Obama care, and they include the public programs role, making sure the health is efficient and improving the quality. Obama Care created a public program which had a main role of preventing chronic diseases and improving public health of patients. The others consider the health workers, the revenue, the community living assistance program innovations and finally the transparency of the programs. Each implementation and act does not lack a few objectives that are set by the lawmakers. The legislation stated that the patient protection would be affordable to all and it would be of high quality. The patient protection act aimed at ensuring that the quality of the service is considerable to all people of all statuses including the rich and the poor in the society (United States, & Legal Content Inc, 2010). It stated that the taxes people were paying were enough to cover for most of the Americans. The system’s aim is to eliminate the discriminative element of health coverage (Tate, 2012).
