Garmin believe that protecting human rights is the ethical and responsible way to do business. They offer each of their employees the dignity, freedom, respect and acceptance that they deserve. First, thanks to the Citizen United vs the federal election commission a corporation is considered to have constitutional rights and guarantees. The landmark case stated that a corporation should not be censored because it, like people, has a right to free speech. The supreme courts decided that this right had been guaranteed by the constitutional first amendments Bill of Rights. After this case the interpretation of the supreme courts split decision was that all of the constitutional rights could be applied to a corporation as if it was the same as a living breathing person (Crowther, D., & Güler, 2010). So it is important that we quickly consider what the constitution is and how it can affect business and specifically Back Office.
