Different culture has its own music, style, history, literature and many more interesting things which you will be able to enjoy and understand. You will be able to connect through books, TV, the internet and converse with a whole countries worth of people, ultimately broadening your horizons, interests and views. A whole new world will be open to you.

Learning a new language is an achievement anyone can be proud of and is extremely satisfying. Once the hard work and effort has paid off, you will experience the many benefits associated with learning a new language and you will have a new found confidence.

Despite the majority of Americans being monolingual, 43% of the nation believes it is important to learn a second language. Being bilingual has many benefits for the future. Knowledge of foreign languages can expand career potentials, help improve one's native language, and can aid opportunities to travel and experience new culture. Learning a foreign language is one of the most beneficial experiences for people in the future.

Second benefit is improvement of social skills. Knowing a different language helps children to adapt easily to a new environment, increasing his/her self-esteem and self-confidence. How would you feel if someone asks you a question and you don’t understand? I know that feeling. Children feel more confident and secure and will never feel humiliated by not being able to communicate.
Being able to speak another language strengthens cognitive skills. When speaking one language, both of the language systems are active which forces the brain to resolve that conflict (Bhattacharjee). If students learned to speak another language it would strengthen their cognitive skills because the brain would be forced to resolve the internal conflict which, in turn, gives it a workout. Many people feel embarrassed of having in accent in their speech. Being bilingual can be hard as well because people have a hard time pronouncing words and using the proper language. Benefits of trying something new include knowing how to do the thing itself, and also having the pleasure of knowing that you did something that was new and got it right. An example would be if you went out of country to somewhere foreign and could not speak the language and struggled. If you planned to return to the same place another time, the smart thing to do would be to start picking up and learning some of the language. The result would be that you would have to work hard to learn the language, but once you returned to the place you would enjoy it much more knowing how to talk to other people and understand what is going on around you. On the other hand, if you never would have tried to learn a new language you would still be stuck not knowing what people are saying, and would not enjoy yourself as much. As seen in the previous example, the benefits of stepping out of your comfort zone and trying new things are worth the
