Conflicted by the fight between his bestfriend and new in-law Romeo tries to reason, “Gentlemen, for shame! Forebear this outrage! Tybalt, Mercutio, the prince expressly hath forbid this bandying in Verona streets. Hold, Tybalt! Good Mercutio “ ( Shakespeare 3.1,90-93).
It then gets out of hand and Mercutio is left dead by a jab from Tybalt who refuses to stop, so in return Romeo kills him. To state, Romeo being married to Juliet feels that he should love his new family including Tybalt so wants to resolve the dispute. However, maybe Mercutio having platonic love for his friend Romeo Stands up for him. This shows that love can lead violence because of Romeo trying to help his valued friend and family get along it causes both of their deaths.
