“I think a hero is any person really intent on making this a better place for all people”-- Maya Angelou. An epic hero is someone who motivates the people around them, goes above and beyond a normal person, and makes the world a better place in someway or form. They have all the qualities a society would look for. Most epic heroes are fictional, but MLK was someone who was extremely inspirational and considered a real life hero. He was well known hero for his civil rights movement and being a start to end racism. Martin Luther King, Jr embodies the characteristics of an epic hero because he is capable of deeds of great strength and courage, fights like a great warrior, and has earned a great reputation around the world.
Being capable of deeds of great strength and courage means the hero has potential, and goes above and beyond what a commoner does.
