2.0 Introduction

The word ethic itself is defined as a set of moral values and the system of moral principles that have been used to interact and communicate between one individual to the group of people, community or association. When it comes to codes of engineering ethics, we must know that this is a set of moral principles that need to be applied in the profession as engineers. In other words, engineering ethics bring the meaning as a set of law and specific rules for the engineer to be follow in their job profession scope and applied in working environment.

Engineers shall act for each employer or client as faithful agents or trustees. In terms of this ethic, engineers need to be faith to the clients or company they are worked with. They should not receive any financial or compensation from other party for the same services for the same project except with the agreement of all the interested parties.

II - American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
Here, ASME code of engineering ethics is having almost the same content as NSPE as both of them using the same theme in practicing the work profession. It can also be noted that ASME code includes seven provisions under the Fundamental Principles that have the nearly same content with the NSPE Fundamental Canons.
Engineers uphold and advance the integrity, honour, and dignity of the engineering profession.
i. Engineers need to use all of necessary skills and knowledge to apply to increase the human welfare. ii. They need to be honest and truthfully working, contributing to the community and serving for their clients and employers. iii. Making use to increase the competence of engineering profession and job.

The most common engineering ethics will be by various professional societies like American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and etc. These engineering ethics have only several differences but all are using the same theme except for the IEEE code of ethics.

It is important to know that the big companies out there or huge organization may have their own engineering code of ethics with the same objectives as to increase the integrity and quality of the work profession for each of the engineers and have their specific guidance in their work scope.

Noted that, this set of engineering ethics is very important and crucial for all the engineers to follow as it give a complete guidance and law for engineering profession job.
