When looking at the overall school systems throughout the United States, it is acknowledged how common bullying is. As stated within the assignment title, bullying is one of the most serious problems faced in school systems today. Bullying is described in the text as occurring when, “one or more children,intentionally and repeatedly expose another child, who cannot readily defend himself or herself, to negative actions.” (J, 2004). For some people school is fun, exciting and boring, but for others, it terrifying knowing that something may happen to them if they go to school. Bullying is one of the biggest problems, some schools has right now. But that, 'not the reason some people are supposed to not speak out when they see this type of things happening. Bullying is turning into a big situation in our community and it’s causing people to get depressed and even committing suicide.

A general problem that happens throughout the United States in schools, neighborhoods, and even in homes is bullying. Furthermore, a plausible cause for most school shootings is intimidation and is an intense public awareness. A bully-involved shooting at a high school in Littleton, CO, and other victims across America have in some cases resulted in suicide. All in all, bullying affects how the social setting in a school causes fear and thought provoking anti-civil attitude.

Although not a new phenomenon, bullying has become an increasingly alarming problem facing young children all across the country. The American Justice Department bullying statistics show that one out of every four kids will be bullied sometime throughout their adolescence. While most of us agree that something needs to be done about the bullying problem in America, a solution has not been found to eliminate this problem. The problem is, school districts source their anti-bullying programs on a trial on error basis. In addition, bullying also has a severe impact on the school's social environment by causing fear throughout the student body, and suppressing their will to learn. However, research and assessment, along with anti-bullying programs, are being established all of the United States. Furthermore, discipline has been enforced in schools to show that bullying will not be tolerated anymore among their students.

Bullying. This word has meaning for so many people. Some have been bullied. Some have witnessed it. Some tried to stop it. Some are parents of children who are bullied. Some even contemplate suicide because of it. Bullying is something that occurs almost on a daily basis in many schools in the United States as well as around the nation. While the principles of many schools claim to help the situation, they allow it to continue or say “kids will be kids”. Since when was it ok to be pushed around or beaten down physically, emotionally, and mentally in one of the few places that a student should feel as if they are safe?

When someone uses higher strength to influence, intimidate or force the victim to do what they want is known around the world as a bully. Bullying has become a big problem in the U.S. as days go by it seems like there is nothing that can stop this problem. There are different types of bullying and different places that bullying can occur. There is physical bullying, verbal bullying, relational aggression, cyber bullying, sexual bullying, and prejudicial bullying. But the most common ones are physical bullying, cyber bullying, and relational bullying. Bullying can also occur in different places like at home, at school, at parks, at workplaces, etc. In recent time periods, all around the country the number of suicides among teens have been rising, unfortunately due to bullying. To protect the students more, the department of education should start to apply some more strict rules against bullying. Although bullying can make someone raise their confidence, the victim is helpless and insecure so this problem needs to be stopped as a result, the possible victims can feel safe and protected out in the public.

I have decided to choose the topic of bullying. Bullying definition is a person, adult, or child, who hurts or intimidates others weaker then himself or herself. (Canadian dictionary and thesaurus, 2004) The newspaper stories cover three types of bullying, The reason why I picked this topic is because I have a personal connection with bullying issues and I am an advocate for our society to stand up to this sociology problem.

The idea that there is no more bullying in our society is nothing more than people choosing to ignore the issue at hand, or they are truly unaware that there are many forms of bullying. One of these methods of bullying is cyber bullying. This is where anyone who knows how to use a computer can attack any other person without even having to see their face. On the issue of the news anchor this was how she was perceived to be bullied by someone who watches the show on occasion. This anonymous person made a claim that she was a terrible role model for kids, especially little girls. This claim was made solely on what they saw on the TV.

Both kids who are bullied and who bully others may have serious, lasting problems.” bullying needs to stop it’s not good for the bully and the person getting bullied.bullying at school should stop because it can impact someone's ability to learn, Anxiety,and ways to prevent bullying at school and in the community.

The thoughts and mentality of one are usually shown through their actions, sometimes, negative. Bullies often target victims whose situations they envy, or who they find weaker than themselves. I happened to be a weak middle schooler, an easy prey, who quickly became a victim of bullying in 7th grade by two best friends, Josh and Lynn. It was english class and it had began mid fall semester when we had started a new book, The Outsiders. I was picked on for every little thing by both of them and it would hurt more each day. I was an easy target mainly for my appearance. It had started when a friend of mine had sent a message to josh from her phone saying it was me, little knowing it would turn out to be this big. For them it was just bullying, for me it was more. It was an emotional scar that still bleeds when I would see them throughout campus. Bullying affected me in ways that much like many other teenage kids, I would still learn to cope with years later.

Student-centered music activities expose bullying – students show more of their “true selves” and interpersonal behaviors when they lead their own activities. Bullying is prevalent in and out of music class. You may inadvertently overlook bullying unless you actively monitor for such behaviors. Bullying appears in as many creative forms as students can think of. It is the educator’s responsibility to expose, understand, and prevent bullying. Educators may notice less active bullying during teacher-center or direct instruction lessons because students recognize a central classroom authority (the adult). While educators perceive authority as a person with experience and knowledge of learning content, students may perceive authority as a person authorized to manage students. Ultimately, we must help students understand varying degrees of leadership and shared leadership.
