The Harvest Festival is a village wide annual event that celebrates Corrales' agricultural roots. Corrales Road which is in the heart of Corrales, is closed down to traffic. The road is home to many businesses, studios, and restaurants. Some of the key events at the Harvest Festival include live music, arts and craft shows, business & non-profit exhibits, special events that celebrate horses and cowboys, an evening dance under the stars, a pet parade, wine tasting, growers market, and many more events attract visitors from around New Mexico. The city comes alive as families, pets, and farm
The State Fair of Texas has been a family tradition for me and my family for many years but this year I was able to pass the tradition on to my friends. The State Fair of Texas is in Dallas Texas at Fair Park and consists of multiple rides and food and most importantly the famous Ferris wheel. One of my favorite parts of the fair is all of the amazing and different kinds foods they have available to try. The people who came with me were some of my friends from college, some of which who have been to the fair and some who have never been. Another fun part of that day was the drive up to the fair and back to Waco. I was the one who was driving the car so that always comes with its perks and responsibilities, still the drive still consisted of much enjoyment and laughter. A good road trip to the fair with friends needs to bring everyone closer, cause a great amount of joy or happiness and laughter, and must be with a great group of friends. My recent trip to the state fair with my friends is the perfect example of a road trip with friends due to all of us becoming a lot closer to each other, the great enjoyment and happiness of our group of friends, and the group of friends that made it such an amazing and unforgettable trip.
I am going to tell you about a famous, yet kinda eerie celebration that takes place in mexico. This is a tradition celebrated by the Mexican Natives, most Mexican Americans (including myself) don’t even acknowledge this day, unless they happen to be visiting mexico at the time of this event.
The Colorado River Fair, as part of the network of California fairs, provides an enormous return on investment both economically and socially. Fairs celebrate the town’s history and heritage. They are an educational opportunity for youth and provide wholesome entertainment for families. Four-H and FFA programs support California’s vibrant agriculture sector. Community members of all ages enter their artwork, baked goods, photography and other homemade products in pursuit of coveted blue ribbons. Many non-profit and charity-based organizations participate in activities at the fair.
You may have heard that “everything is bigger in Texas.” and if you really want to experience how everything is bigger, you go to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR). The HLSR, or “Houston Rodeo” as it is referred to by Houstonians, is the largest event of its kind in the world and has been in session since 1932. In 2013, The HLSR had more people in attendance (approx 2.6 million) at the Rodeo than the entire population of the city of Houston (approx 2.1 million), which happens to be the 4th largest city in the United States as well as the most populated city in the state of Texas. The HLSR is held at Reliant Park for three weeks during March, and since parking is always a hassle, Reliant Park also happens to have one of the largest parking lots available as well.
The Indiana Latino Institute celebrates the Hispanic Heritage Month that begins September 15 and concludes on October 15. Each annual celebration is filled with diverse events throughout the month. The “Orange-ing” of the canal was the first of many events for the Indiana Latino Institute as part of their month-long celebration. The event included Zumba to Despacito, lunch from local food trucks, and promotional booths, including a partnership with the American Red Cross of Indiana to gather donations for hurricane relief in Puerto Rico, Mexico, Florida, and Texas.
The Alamo, in San Antonio Texas, is a crucial piece of the history of Texas. It was originally a Franciscan mission built by Spanish settlers around 1718. Its purpose was to be a home for Spanish missionaries and new Native American converts. During Texas’ war for independence from Mexico, the Texans seized the former mission and set up a military base there. Mere months later, the Mexicans attacked the Texans at the Alamo in order to attempt to regain control of this military base. Although the Mexicans vastly outnumbered the Texans, the Texans were able to suppress them for thirteen days, when the Mexicans finally overpowered the Texans. Although the Mexicans tried to destroy the Alamo during their retreat, it is still in excellent condition
In a world of political discourse with racism and hate running rampant, a few great men and women came together to bring unity and harmony like never before: in the form of massive music festivals. In the late 1972, the black community came together for a concert known as Watts Summer Festival. In 1969, the largest music festival of its time was held, and was known as Woodstock. Later that year, the Rolling Stones put together a massive free concert in San Francisco known as the Altamont Concert. All of the concerts and music festivals were not aimed at making money or becoming famous, but about the unity of people through the art of music.
After a long period, the advertisers make their advertisements’s implication desalting so that the audiences become easier to accept. But the viewers still feel the goods and brand information and accept the advertising stimulation. Especially, this method efficiently works in the medical commercials. In the Humira commercial called “ A Day at the Fair” , there is a pretty youthful blond female at a fair to talk about her Ulcerative Colitis( UC ) and everything in her daily life which cause it to fortuitously flare-up. Before she talked to her doctor, she thinks that all the anguish from UC flareup is normal. After using Humira, the young woman restarts to have a care-free day and be free of her issues caused by Ulcerative Colitis. Since Humira need to put all the information about the brand, the product and the UC to attract people and help them easily understand , the commercial primarily employs both iconic and indexical sign (mode) to represent the symptoms and inconvenience of owning Ulcerative Colitis via indirectly showing what they are, at the same time, the use of different arrangements connotes the meanings and emotions linked with the conditions, to express that using Humira to treat the Ulcerative Colitis will never go wrong for people who are worry about the UC.

Today, Cinco de Mayo has become more of an American holiday than a Mexican one. It has become a significant annual celebration of Mexican culture and heritage. In areas of the country with large Mexican-American populations such as Portland large festivals are held. Portland Oregon’s three-day Cinco de Mayo fiesta has been celebrated for the past 30 years, attracting thousands of visitors. The crowds

The main point of this essay is to inform the readers that racism is not dead and is still happeing in many parts of the country. While many people in the town of Pendleton view the Round Up as a joyus celebration dedicated to the cowboys who won this land, the author argues that the celebration is racist and incredibly outdated, espesiely the Happy Canyon Pageant. In the pageant, the cowboys are shown to be the heroes who conqured the west from the "evil" indians. In fact, the only times the indians are even relavent in the play are when they are circling the wagons and dying in a battle; but the worst part is that the scene is called "Passing of a Race." The name of the scene is degrading and incedibly offensive because in incinuates that

Every year for the past two years, I have had the pleasure of going to one of the biggest attractions in Los Angeles: The Taste of Soul Festival, a community event held on the famous Crenshaw Boulevard where the people of Los Angeles come together as one. People also come from others states to enjoy this event. There is singing, dancing, competitions, games and activities. The festival includes live bands comprised of R&B, jazz, country, gospel and much more. Many vendors also participate in this event, selling food such as hotdogs, sausages, fish, crabs, chicken, cotton candy and ice cream. This is a big event. According to the Los Angeles Sentinel, more than 300,000 people attended in 2012. One of the best times of my stay in Los Angeles was being a part of this event. My favorite enjoyment was the live Gospel Music, the steppers, and the great seafood.
Ultra Music Festival (UMF) is a yearly open air electronic music celebration that happens in March in the city of Miami, Florida, United States (DURAN, 2013).In this report I have analysed about the ultra-Miami festival event in USA and what is behind the success of the event. Events rarely succeed or fail it is totally depending on the scheduling and who all are the stakeholders are supporting the particular event. For a successful event there are several potential goals to satisfy and a plethora of stakeholders to involve (Presenza, 2012). Festivals are mostly unique in the events sector how the stakeholders are involved in the events. Media is mainly involved in a group way in television and
