Nursing is the capacity to give excellent care and a source of insurance to those who are suffering from illnesses. Nursing does not just fixate on the physical properties of a customer's well-being however withal involves minding and reducing the agony related with noetic sicknesses or gregarious misery. “The unique function of the nurse is to assist the individual, sick or well, in the performance of those activities contributing to health or its recovery (or to a peaceful death) that he would perform unaided if he had the necessary strength, will or knowledge.” (Scott and Kirwan, 2014).
Nursing as a Profession
A profession can mean multiple things to certain individuals. Nursing as a profession is something everyone is not capable of accomplishing. Having the right mindset, putting in the right amount of effort, and being able to have to love and care for what you are doing for others is the right direction for the nursing field. What make nursing different from any other profession is the everyday duties we have to accomplish for the life of others who are in need of the care they need. Nursing does require prolonged specialized training, has a service orientation and has an ideology of service to others (Chitty & Black, 2011, p. 62). As nurses we have to be them for our patients, clients, and recipients. This is a major reason why it takes the abundant amount of knowledge and stringent training to be apart of such a great nursing
