Abstract
The SEAL’s trainings and the SWAT’s trainings are based on the particular situations they will encounter within their missions. The SEAL’s operations are based on a global front requiring more planning, more intelligence, and more entities whereas SWAT’s operations are based on a local, home front requiring quick response, split second decision making, and using available resources. The SEAL’s tactics come from an array of

Tactics
The SEAL teams tactics are precise, well planned, and with zero to minimal flaws. SEAL tactics include getting in and out quickly, not being seen, gathering intelligence, destroying targets, performing rescues, handling explosives, infiltrating enemy lines, doing recovery (snatch-n-grab) techniques, properly handling prisoners, tactical ambushes, sniper assaults, close-quarters combat, underwater demolitions, combat-swimming attacks, using close air support, using naval gunfire support, conducting raids, and hydrographic reconnaissance. All of these could be used on one mission and with such precise timing that the enemy doesn’t even know what happened (Obringer, 2008).
The tactics SWAT teams use vary depending on the situation but typically SWAT members will start to prepare their gear and head towards Police Headquarters (HQ) waiting for the official activation on the SWAT team by a high-ranking police official. It could be an hour or more before all SWAT members assemble. Once all members have assembled they will be briefed on the situation and then load into the SWAT vehicle for transport to the scene. At the scene they will set up a command post, it will be close to the scene but in a safe place. They will then start receiving information on the suspect, layout of the area, known weapons, any hostages, and
The Making of a Navy Seal is a true story told by Brandon Webb. Webb tells the story of surviving his toughest challenges and how he trains to be the best. He has a very unusual childhood and is eventually thrown out of the boat his family lives on. Even though Webb has a rough start in his adulthood, he overcomes difficult obstacles and works hard for his goals.
Not rules, not expectations, but standards. Standards that are set specifically for the Unites States troops so that when everything is created, it will never become obsolete. Many people are arguing saying that standards are set and better be met. They are not changing just for the sake of our countries females. Navy Seals began studying the effects of having women take part in a highly competitive and difficult program.
When the Navy sends their most elite squad, they send the SEAL’s. At the point when the SEAL’s send their elitist, they send SEAL Team Six. SEAL Team Six is a top secret group and the only way to get in, is to prove yourself as being strong physically and mentally. I Am a SEAL Team Six Warrior by Howard E. Wasdin is a emotional story of how Howard Wasdin defeated an extremely rough childhood and how he entered the extremely risky U.S. Naval force SEALS Team and Special Forces expert marksmen as a sniper. His transformation of becoming a young, poor boy into a lethal and extremely dangerous weapon will change him forever, and make him choose intense decisions. All through the book of I Am a SEAL Team Six Warrior it appears and clarifies missions that Howard had to experience. Missions no man should have to deal with. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for tons of action and for people with a thirst for adrenaline and a heart warming story.
My current position as an Area Commander for the Federal Protective Service (FPS) is not without its challenges. I am responsible for supervising eleven federal law enforcement officers to include two K9 units and approximately forty-five contracted protective security officers. As a team we address security related issues on a daily basis. Our position description encompasses two major disciplines; the first is federal law enforcement and the second physical security. Both occupations can be viewed as one, yet separate in their ever changing complexity of development. The greatest challenges are staying up with the constant progression of technical advances in the way each vital role is implemented. Combining two occupations into one job description can at times be overwhelming.
SWAT. The acronym invokes so many thoughts - danger, fighting crime, shootings, heavily artillery, TV, movies and more. The reality of SWAT is that it is all of that and more. When the acronym is fully expanded it translates to "special weapons and tactics" or as it was originally developed, "special weapons assault team". SWAT is a specialized, elite police unit trained to execute dangerous and specific operations that basic and even intermediate police training is not intended to handle. Commonly, many assume from knowledge gained from TV and movies about SWAT. These assumptions are often skewed because what happens on real missions is not always as entertaining as what is seen on the silver screen.
Most Seal missions are unreported and unknown to the general public. The Seals are trained to operate in small units, one or two men, or a platoon consisting of sixteen or more men. Not all Seal teams are made for everyone, in fact 80% of the men who attempt to become one, fail or will drop out. To become a Seal you must have dedication, hardwork, and a lot of commitment.
Rapid Deployment of resources, particularly combining the immediate presence of uniform patrol working concert with directed undercover operations.
In the paper I’m going to write, I`ll be expressing the life of an FBI SWAT member, The parts I`ll be expressing the most in this paper is how do they connect with family, what is the mental aspect for them, what`s their physical health like and do they have a social life? Man doesn’t your mind just wonder when you hear the FBI? Well of course you will have so many questions like who are they? Why are they so important, how do you get to involved?
There are many career choices you can choose from in the armed forces. Like becoming a nuclear engineer, a pilot, or even going into a special ops program in a certain branch of the armed forces. Well there's one special force that is separated from the rest and that's the navy seals. In this research paper you will learn the good and bad aspects in joining the navy seals whether it's for the training, pay/benefits, or for your education.
"The only easy day... was yesterday..." The Navy Seals was founded in May of 1961 during the Vietnam war. Navy seals have many teams across the entire globe, and the most popular is seal Team Six (Jason Graham and Stephen Baron). There are some occupational things you learn becoming a seal and being one. These Occupational Skills include: Climb, Conceal, Demolitions, Hide, First Aid, Handgun, Martial Arts, Navigate, Other Language, Parachuting, Photography, Pilot: Boat, Rifle, Sneak, Spot Hidden, Submachine Gun (Jason Graham and Stephen Baron). Some Survival things SEALs pick up include: Desert, Woodland, Cold Weather, Swim, Tactics, Throw, Track (Jason Graham and Stephen Baron). Plus one of the following as personal specialty: Electronics, Machine Gun, Medicine, Heavy Weapons (Jason Graham and Stephen Baron). Seals is a acronym for Sea, Air, and Land (United States Navy Seals). They also partner with the U.S Government agencies such as the CIA and the NSA (United States Navy Seals). The US Navy Seals are mostly used during the Vietnam war for demolishing and disarming bombs so that water rafts were able to get through (United States Navy Seals). Navy Seals go through the most gruesome training exercises, go in the most daring and classified missions, and use the most up to date weaponry.
The gradual dislike leads the police officers to always contemplate on ending the rising crime and in the end; they find themselves using excessive force, even in situations where force was not needed. The SWAT team is one response unit that is trained and psychologically prepared to deal with tough and resisting criminals. In addition, the response team is issued with specific orders to use excessive force when necessary; especially if they note that, the criminals are dangerous and may harm others.
They became the United States Navy most premiere and elite counter terrorist group. Their responsibilities included worldwide maritime, security assessments, and advice to prevent casualties during hostage situations. Seal Team Six consisted of the most elite of the elite. Team Six was mission ready in six months because of unlimited amounts of resources and training. Some of the earliest World War II predecessors of the SEALs were the Operational Swimmers of the OSS. Many current SEAL missions were first assigned to them. OSS specialized in special operations, dropping operatives behind enemy lines to engage in organized guerrilla warfare as well as to gather information on such things as enemy resources and troop
“When the U.S. Navy sends their elite, they send the SEALs. When the SEALs send their elite, they send SEAL Team Six” (Wasdin 3). A question that frequently comes up in everyone’s mind is how it would feel to be an elite sniper in the SEAL Team Six. The author of I am a Seal Team Six Warrior named Howard E. Wasdin was and elite sniper in the SEAL Team Six. He had written the book explaining his life and narrating his stories about his experience. The book also had perspectives and stories from Stephen Templin as well who was with him along the incredible journey. The book had talked about Wasdin’s personal life, his hardships to achieve his goal and what he had experienced during his career as a sniper with the SEALs.
It is no secret that it takes a special person to be admitted into the elite group of Navy SEALS. In order to do this Kyle had to pass serval stages of test. The first was the Navy’s form of basic training, which he completed very easily. The Navy training is called BUDS, and it is used as a screening method to find those who are weak and those who could be potential SEALS. After completing this difficult training program Kyle began his grueling SEAL training.
A SWAT, or special weapons and tactics, team is used in extraordinary situations that need more specialized procedures and increased firepower. Federal departments as well as in major police departments use SWAT teams.
