During the American Revolution, George Washington and his men travel across a half-frozen river, the Delaware, to launch a surprise attack on the Hessians who are celebrating Christmas in Trenton, New Jersey. Washington and his men are able to surprise the Hessians; this is a very important event in the war because the Patriots have lost several previous battles. Two pieces have been created that describe and explain this event in detail.
