The school’s behaviour policy is very detailed and covers all aspect ensures every member of staff know what is expected from them as well as pupils. I feel that I am able to challenge any behaviour issues confidently. The policy is fair to all pupils and they are all aware that any bad behaviour will not be tolerated.
2.2 The teacher would need to promote appropriate behaviour and respect for others in the ground rules. Although this is not always adhered to by learners the teacher would make clear to the individual that inappropriate behaviour would not be tolerated and ask them to remain quiet or leave the session depending on the severity of the behaviour. Distractions from learners has the potential to distract others, therefore wasting time and potentially leading to the early commencement of the session.
Many children live in poverty around the world, the effects on these developing minds of these children can hurt their development to adulthood. Kids in poverty tend to have lower education than other families that are richer. Their health is also effected from poverty, their life expectancy is 8 years lower from richer families. The communities they grow up can affect them in making choices, choosing money over education. In this paper, i’ll explain the effects of poverty on children’s education, health, and communities.
Teaching may go against teacher beliefs, especially if the teacher believes in student-led research and is creativity is hindered.
For low-income students and minorities, their upbringing and their current socioeconomic status can and will factor into their perseverance and motivation due to the structural barriers they possess. Students’ of low-income families often come from working class homes who help their child to understand what their unavailability to balance work and go to school might be. Often times for minority and low-income students’ they reach an age (often times being the age of 18) in which they have to decide which path they will decide to take, take on work and go to school often times to support the family, or work full-time with the possibility of “growing within their work” with the basic knowledge they acquire once they graduate high school (assuming they do). The Los Angeles Youth is subdivided between the rich and the

This book has so much information of our lack of education, not only in the United States but internationally. It lists you 15 problems with many secondary causes. I’m focusing in only three chapters including chapters 9 and10.In chapter 9, Ilia M. Sinagatullin targets the neglect of strong basic education. Stating that not many have the opportunity to have a secondary education. Secondary education basically means anything after high school. Many join the workforce right after and many especially the woman stay at home as housewives. Many do not consider continuing their education upon graduating high school. In the same chapter she states how students that do continue for the education believe that they will just enter school and learn. Most
The school’s behaviour policy is important as it gives guidelines to all staff on how they can manage pupil behaviour. Class rules are set out in each classroom in a positive way that pupils understand, generally these are
The significance of emphasis on an internal frame of reference is an important factor because it allows you to have a set of references to basis your experiences and emotions on. It allows you to not rely solely on external factors. It provides a person with the ability to look within first before having to make a decision on what a experience means to them. It gives a person protection against external factors that they may have experienced before and they know the outcome will not be pleasant. It allows them to have quick references to certain experiences and give them an automatic response that either protects them or allows them to open their
Thinking different allows students to see multiple perspectives. When teachers start allowing students to see multiple perspectives; that's when they develop an opinion. When students start to have an opinion they could start debating with their classmates. However, a teacher needs to teach them that they need to respect their peers. I believe when students form an opinion, they also need to be taught to respect their other peers opinion.
In today’s world people need to compete globally for jobs and one of the most important factors in getting a good paying job is education. However, even the best schools cannot overcome some of the obstacles placed in front of the students that walk through their doors. Poverty, chaotic home environments, discrepancies in exposure to technology, and lack of funding for schools all negatively impact the effort to educate children.
It has become common today to dismiss the lack of education coming from impoverished schools. Jonathan Kozol an award winning social injustice writer, trying to bring to light how our school systems really treats, and sees their students. In his essay “Separate, Still Unequal," Kozol visited many public high schools and elementary schools, realizing the shocking truth about segregating in our public education system. Kozol cross-examining children describing their feelings as being put away where no one desires you around. Children feeling devalued just for being a minority, where the school does not take into consideration the child’s health. Schools cutting physicians, making children show up to class severely sick with no resources. Showing clear signs of segregation in the education system.
Two children stand in line to enter their classroom. The children are the same age, but are different in mindset. One child faces poverty, while the other is unaware about financial hardship. The quality of education is determined by the size of the parent’s pocket book. Education standards are quickly declining in poverty ridden areas. Funding is provided to the districts whose test scores meet the requirement. Economic gaps in education are detrimental to academic settings, create distorting disadvantages and an attendance barrier regarding health.
I consider and know that children are the future of our world; we have to know how to teach and educate them adequately so they could be prepared to lead future generations. I consider that each child has its own way of learning; there are multiple ways in which a person could be intelligent and capable of completing tasks. I want to be able to help children with everything they need. I want to motivate them to do and be the best in every task and area, everything that they dream and think about, to persuade their dreams and never give up no matter how hard they think it is or how difficult becomes trough the way. I don’t want to be the type of teacher that goes through the school year teaching what I have to and limit my capabilities to show them things and lessons useful for their lives, I want every child that goes to my classroom, leave it at the end of the year with instructions or lessons that make them better persons. Additionally, think that it’s important to have a good balance between discipline and kindness with students, it’s important to have a good relationship with the students because in that way is easier to communicate with them; if they have any problems or trouble learning a lesson or something in the content, if they have a good communication and relationship with you, it will be easier for them to tell you about what is causing them trouble. In some cases, when the educator is strong and teaches with hard discipline, the students tend to evade them and
